I think JJ, Will, John and Marie will all have professional driving instructors and with their drivers supervising their practice. I also expect they will all be great drivers and try to ditch their chauffeurs as soon as possible.

Good beginning. More please!

I think that Matheny, Yadie and Waino underestimated the big Papi and he made them pay. There is still a game to play and I am not sure that the outcome is foreordained. Mistakes have been made all around this series and to think that is all in the past is to underestimate chance. If the Cards win, we play another one tomorrow. If not, the Red Sox get to celebrate tonight. Nothing is impossible, and this Cards fan still has a faint hope that our hitters will catch fire and smoke some. Wacha tonight gives me some hope.

Happy Birthday B. Bee! It's probably already past 9:00 p.m. on your day but here it's still just after 9 in the morning! So I hope you are having a wonderful day with beautiful weather and (far away from all those fires!)

My take on Frank is that he's been a little disengaged from the day to day travails of the family and is more involved with the day to day relationship with Isodore. He is the one that didn't want Maddie dumped on her. He is of an age that dealing with young adults, teenagers and little kids is ok for an hour or two but is too tiring for extended periods. I do think that Robbies death devastated him as it did all of the family. However, I get the impressions he is not one to share his grief publicly and perhaps not much even with the extended family. Of course these are just my thoughts and Mark probably has a whole different scenario in mind or will concentrate on other characters and only incidentally portray Frank's as he processes his grief. Before we get there, I think though that the story shifts to Wade and his interactions with Ethan and that is what I foresee as being served up next.

Ortiz is the only player with any claim to the MVP so far. I am totally impressed. He also handled playing first at Busch and made the plays. There has been a ton of great pitching from both sides. The Cards are still my team, but I concede they have a high hill to climb.

Now the hideous past is explained and it's worse because of the parents and the priest. Awful, awful. Success is the best revenge and that is our hero's goal.

Being an only child with overbearing parents who always think the worst sounds like a childhood from hell.

5 Years Gone- Dan Kincaid
Daddydavek commented on methodwriter85's blog entry in Methodwriter85's Blog
http://www.gayauthors.org/story/dank/itstartedwithbrian The above link is to Dan Kincaid's story which is his story. You might want to start with the postscript for some more background and then peruse the chapter listings and note that Adam Philips had a helping hand. I haven't read it all but its on my to do list. Thanks Jeremy for pointing me towards this inspiring young man, who was gone too soon. DDK -
Fidelity with a Partner: Old fashioned or still pertinent?
Daddydavek replied to W_L's topic in The Lounge
Fidelity is having a mutual understanding and sticking to it. It may or may not involve being completely monogamous, but fidelity must be based on mutual trust and truthfulness. -
With the series tied at 2 games apiece, it is now a best of 3 series. Either team needs 2 to win. Boston wants to win tonight and St. Louis must win tonight to have any realistic chance of winning the series. I hope we get a game without stupid silly mistakes on the part of either team tonight. No silly mistakes, but not much Cardinal offense. Red Sox win game 5. Lead Series 3 games to 2. Series moves back to Boston on Wednesday.

Anyone who believes Mark Arbour gets overwhelmed, realizes its only from Mark's point of view. He still out-posts just about everyone on the site and to do it with two major stories in two disparate centuries is nothing short of superhuman. So his loyal fans will just have to make do with what we get until his lordship, gets his mojo back in his own mind. Of course he is also into hockey and possibly looks in on the Cardinals in the World Series, so he does have some distractions outside of the classroom as well. (Just guessing!)

Talon, I couldn't like your blog but I understand your need to get your problems off your mind. It seems you have been very circumspect about much of what you didn't write. Before the county decided to get out of the nursing home business, did they have anyone from the PA state veteran's commission do an audit to see if they qualified all residents possible for VA assistance as well as some direct assistance from the VA? Same thing for Medicaid. There are many federal dollars that could help. It seems that government at all levels seems to be abandoning its responsibilities to the oldest, the disabled and the poorest in this country. A kinder, gentler, country we have not yet become.

Boston Red Sox tie the series at 2 wins apiece. The game ended in a pick-off. The final score was 4-2. The series will go at least six games as a result.

The memorial was all it was possible to be. Including intensely personal. Including the final phone call was the dramatic highlight. The featured artists and music was just awesome. I can't say enough about how much I liked this chapter.
