I got my 8 year chip in October so there are a few people around who have been there. When I was using I ODed a few times. Depending on the drugs its always different. Once I ODed on speed, I couldn't sleep for days. I was more psycho and aggressive than I usually am. It's no fun laying in bed wishing for sleep and you just can't- for a few days at a time. When the drugs finally did wear off, I was out for like 36 hours. I woke up to go to the bathroom and drink water but then- flop. Other times I know that I ODed but I was too big- I could take a lot more than most people and not die. I'd just sleep it off and feel like I had died. I did know people who died. A guy I used to buy weed from mixed uppers and downers and never came back. It's crazy and the sooner you get off the crap, the better off you are. It's not like I'm never tempted to get an 8-ball for a weekend or a bottle sometimes- I just remember where it took me and I don't want to go there again.

Saratoga Bridge One of the members of Saratoga’s communications division said, “Five minutes gentlemen!” Danny looked at his new boss Commander Keller and said, “I’d rather fight Antarian sea snakes than make a speech.” Keller could tell that his new subordinate was ready to run away screaming. He took his most reassuring tone and said, “There’s really nothing to it. It is virtual presence, and we can tweak the settings in the conference room, so you’ll be completely unaware of th

My pet peeve: That the Australia, New Zealand, the Philippines and Taiwan are so far away. I wish our friends there were closer.

Riley- Happy birthday mate! (Did I say it right?) James

most people don't know how to trim and take care of their beards which gives them that homeless look. Those that do know how to maintain a beard, it can look very distinguished. It's NOT for everybody and young guys- scruffy isn't for anybody.

Yes- it's the right thing to do. I'm an old fart and could tell you many stories of how coming out went very wrong. There is a peer pressure that some people exert on others to come out. Coming out is not a one size fits all proposition and nobody is sitting around with a tution check in case things go badly.

definitly a zombie apocalypse year.

Krista- I'm not sure how old you are but that doesn't really matter that much. Your wise and sweet nature are what shine through. And your firey streak is pretty cool too... when you are on the right side of it. Happy Birthday- JS

Going to Texas to visit my brother and his family. Going off line- unplugged, shudown, tuned out. Finding a cat sitter was difficult. My cat beast has a well earned reputation of being meaner than I am. Of course no trip to North Dallas would be complete without a visit to the Opera House in Denton. http://www.recycledbooks.com/ If you are ever there check it out. As an aside, I'm not sure if I will be back. When your ignore list is becoming unmanageable, you either have to check yourself or admit that you've reached the point of diminishing returns. There is a very pronounced culture clash and generation gap at work that is making GA a hell of a lot less fun than it used to be. I am a hot tempered Cajun red neck with more baggage than Newt Gingrich. Sometimes I don't play nice with others. I rag on my friends because that's what we do. Calling me a liar is an invitation to a fight. If we were friends, I'd die before I betrayed you. I've been here a long time. If you don't know me by now, maybe it is time to move on.

I'd bet but it might take some time. Like I tell many of you young 'uns: you've got the tools and the talent. Good things are bound to happen for you. It's a good odds. How about nachos?

You can do better cutie.

Assignments Asteroid Kappa 39-442-32 Danny and Tom returned to the asteroid's surface four times. Each time they returned to the shuttle, their sample containers were jammed full. The shuttle had simply run out of room for cargo, and they would have to wait to evaluate their samples. Tom had assured both Crash and Danny that their time had been well spent. The crew settled in for a meal of Crash’s “Nietzsche rations” and fruit juice before returning home.

I'm an old jock so please pardon my sports metaphors. You can't win the game if you aren't in the game. There are difficulties in doing anything worthwhile. What makes it worthwhile is that you overcame the difficulties and achieved. If you quit, you deny yourself the opportunity of success.

To: Shuttle Sierra442 From: Air-Flag, Hammerhead Stand by your position to rendezvous with Alliance destroyer Summers. Please acknowledge. Crash looked at the transmission and said, “This might be interesting. Looks like my old buddy Rattler wants to talk. Send: We acknowledge and are standing by. Then send our position.” As Danny was keying in the text transmission he said, “Who is Rattler”? Crash laughed and said, “The second craziest pilot I've ever met. His name is Hiro Tanaka”. “Admiral Tanaka”, Tom asked? “The one and only“, Crash said. “I used to be his CAG when he was skipper of the Halsey”. Tom said, “That was the battle…” Crash sighed. “Yeah. That’s the one I got splashed and roasted by radiation until I wasn’t up to fleet specifications.” Danny said, “What happened?” Crash said, “You’ve heard of Omicron Ceti?” “Yeah, it’s the fleet base on the corridor out to the Carina arm. It’s the only way in or out of the Carina sector that's not too radioactive to travel", Tom replied. Crash said, "It’s where the fleet drew the line: this far and no further. We’ve fought at least a dozen big fleet engagements there. I was there for four of them. The last one was three years ago.” “We were escorting a convoy of supply ships to the base at Omicron Ceti. We jumped right in the of the biggest fire fight I’ve ever seen. When we jumped in, we were twenty-five light minutes from the action. We covered the supply ships as they jumped out and then our task force formed up and joined the battle. We rolled out everything we had. Fighters, fighter/bombers, strike craft, electronic warfare birds: we cleared the decks. I was flying an old FB-68 Kestral leading an attack squadron. We lined up on a group of targets, released our missiles and went back to the carrier for to reload and rearm. I got hit on my third pass at the enemy formation. Never saw it coming. It was probably big chunk of debris; I didn’t get a missile lock warning. It sheared off my starboard wing at the root and my engines and avionics went dead. The shock of it knocked me unconscious and broke my right arm and leg. It sent me into a long flat spin that took me away from the battle area at high speed because I was on an attack run.” Danny noticed that Crash was sweating and his hands began to grip the control yoke much tighter than necessary. “When I woke up it was all over. The Halsey was so badly shot up that they had to scrap her but she fought all the way to the end of the battle. It took search and rescue 36 hours to find me. I had been out there for so long that I was getting radiation sickness. We won the battle. Our Task Force turned the tide. Tanaka made Admiral and got sent back to get the new fleet carriers in shape. I got a medical discharge. I can’t complain really. I stayed on with the Academy as a flight instructor. I still train nuggets and I’m making a killing off the hotel.” Tom said, “Is that what they gave you the Alliance Cross for?” Crash said, “You know about that?” “Of course, you’re a legend”, Tom replied. “That’s deep blue hero stuff. Everybody wants you as their flight instructor.” Crash laughed bitterly and said, “All the heroes in this war are dead kid. The rest of us are just survivors. Between the hard radiation and the hard vacuum, surviving takes a lot of work and a whole lot of good luck.” Danny was watching the sensors at the engineering station and said, “Jump point forming 335 degrees, Z+20 degrees 10 kilometers out.” They all looked out just in time to to see a brand new battle destroyer or BDD jump into real space. She was big for a destroyer, even at this distance; sleek and armed for bear. The shuttles voice communication system crackled to life, “Shuttle Sierra442, this is the Alliance destroyer Summers. Please dock in our number two shuttle bay and accompany us back to Capella anchorage.” Crash grabbed a head set and keyed the mike, “This is Shuttle Sierra442. We will be docking momentarily. Thanks for the lift Summers.” Crash leaned back in his seat with his hand behind his head and said, “Ok Nugget. Make an approach and landing in Summers shuttle bay that’ll make your flight instructor look good.” Tom powered up the shuttle and said, “Aye sir.”

OK you have a couple of options: If you can boot up, copy your files to a USB Drive. Here they are at New Egg ==> http://www.newegg.com/Store/SubCategory.aspx?SubCategory=414 If you can't boot up, your operating system is probably fried and needs to be reloaded. That usually does NOT mean that the drive itself is bad. However, bear in mind that a bad hard drive is possible, just not as likely. What you need is a way to read your old drive long enough to pull your files off of it. What you need is an item like: Thermaltake BlacX ST0005U Storage enclosure- Serial ATA-300- 300 MBps here it is at Amazon ==> http://www.amazon.com/Thermaltake-BlacX-eSATA-Docking-Station/dp/B001A4HAFS What it allows you to do is access you old drive like a USB hard drive and recover your data with ease. AT around ~$30, it is well worth it to recover your precious data.

This is so bizarre that I decided to write it down. Just for the record, I'm not afflicted with Bieber fever. I'm not sure why but everybody was in the Army. I was an instructor at boot camp and one of my victims, I mean trainees was none other than Justin Bieber. I asked him what was he doing here, he's Canadian. He said that he had dual citizenship so he got drafted too. After teaching my trainees how to field strip and AR-14, we had some range time. I showed them how to fire three round bursts . Years ago I interviewed members of bands like Rush and Cheap Trick. I asked my question that always stumps them: when you are on stage, how much of that is you and how much is an act? Sounds like an easy answer but it isn't. Niel Pert told me it was the damn-est question he had ever been asked and I was only writing for a college paper. Bieber liked the question but couldn't really answer it. Said he had to think about that one. I woke up before he answered. His answer was much better than Bun E. Carlos of Cheap Trick's answer: I'm too stoned to think that hard.

Check out Nothing but Thieves ==> http://www.youtube.c...thingButThieves This young band has a smooth, easy, expansive sound that many professionals work on for years but never do get quite right. There's talent at all four instruments and they are tighter than some bands that have been together for decades. They have a very special presence and charisma and they will only get better. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I3LNYnRgjYA http://www.youtube.com/user/NothingButThieves#p/u/3/U99An5l7bu4
