  9. Get a gym membership and go 3 or 4 times a week. Whether or not you meet someone, it'll be good for you.
  10. South Eastern Conference football was royalty and, Bear Bryant was king. Kentucky basketball was so good that we played the regular season games to see who else was in the NCAA tourney besides for da Cats, Louisville and Duke.
  11. Being raised a military BRAT (Born Raised and Transferred) is a recipe for jock-dom. I played everything and one point or another except soccer. It just wasn't around in my part of the South at the time. I was never good at baseball as I could never hit decently. Wasn't till later that I figured out that I needed glasses. Same problem with basketbrawl but set a mean pick.
  12. Awe man... now I'm hungry. In Mississippi we trade out the chicken-fried steak and Mexican food for fried chicken, cajun food and seafood.
  13. One of my mom's friends broke her hip and is recovering at a nursing home. I just made a batch of these cookies and will drop them off there in the morning.

My Special Christmas Cookie Recipe (but they work anytime) Ingredients 1 cup softened butter 1 cup white sugar 1 cup packed brown sugar 2 eggs 2 teaspoons vanilla extract 3 cups all purpose flour 1 teaspoon baking soda 2 teaspoons hot water 1/2 teaspoon salt 2 cups milk chocolate chips 1 cup chopped pecans Directions 1. pre-heat oven to 375 F (175 C) 2. Mix butter, white and brown sugar together until smooth. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla. Dissolve baking soda in hot water. Add to batter along with salt. stir in flour, chocolate chips and nuts. Drop by spoonfuls on ungreased pan. 3. Bake for 10 minutes in pre-heated oven , or until edges are nicely brown.
