  1. My brother lives in a Dallas burb. We grew up watching the Cowboys under Tom Landry. My Dad liked Tom Landry and Bud Grant so we saw a lot of the Cowboys and the Vikings. After Landry, the Boys won when they had Aikman in his prime and so much talent but since then, they have been the very definition of mediocrity. The game sorely misses players and coaches that demand more than just talent. It takes talent to get there. It takes character to stay.
  2. I used to do stuff like that. I had a number of places where I would go so I wouldn't have to deal with people for a while. That probably saved a few people from being brutally murdered. Hate to see a cute little kid doing the same thing.
  3. Can't ... take... endless... mindless... Christmas muzak.... AAAAAARRRGGGHHHH!
  4. Dallas continues to lose in December. (Big surprise) They were blown out by Chicago with a backup QB (McNown). When is the last time Chicago BLEW anybody out?! The Cowboys are a sad organization. After changing EVERYTHING else, Jerry Jones needs to take a long hard look in the mirror.
  5. Darn. If I had some warning, I would have put together a kegger or something.

  11. The only label I've even tried to put on the kid is NICE. I was twenty once and know for a fact that sexuality is a fluid thing.
  12. Actually- his personality has done nothing but help him. Daley has been soft spoken, humble and respectful in his public persona. He has never had "tabloid fodder moments" like so many other young celebs and athletes (Biebs immediately comes to mind). It's a huge contrast to the swaggering thugsters that we're used to seeing out of young athletes. Daley even polls well with the elderly. Not because he's hot per see but because he is perceived to be NICE. Of course... HOT never hurt anybody either.
  13. I'm glad he's on our "team". His humility and good manners have always been impressive for a young athlete. A great many athletes forget to train their egos with poor results.
  14. Still sort of in shock. Alabama and the Aggies in one day. WOW.
  15. I don't have time but that never stopped me before. update: they haven't been created yet.

    Chapter 39

Mexico City 0345 CST The Gulfsteam jet landed at a small commuter airport on the outskirts of the city. McGrath was met by the US Embassies “Cultural Attaché” and hustled to a cab driven by “another company man” as the diplomat described him. The cabbie was every bit as suicidal as the typical cabbie in the city. He tore through the light early morning traffic and had McGrath at the International Terminal of the Mexico City Airport by ten minutes after four. McGrath asked the cabbie, “ami

  18. >>The revolving door of artisanal breads at Wendy’s appears to be part of a strategy to brand the chain as a higher-end quick-service option via limited-time offers. Screw that. Go to 5Guys. They make a great burger, every day. No need for extra crap.
  19. martial arts are excellent in these situations. Bullies don't really know how to fight. They only know how to push people around and for that, they need cooperation in the form of pacivity and fear. When they don't get that cooperation, they often learn a valuable lesson.

  23. Mississippi Thanksgiving Traditions Thanksgiving week is the traditional time for the opening of deer season and the Ole Miss vs Mississippi State grudge match. The footbrawl game usually means very little to the national standings but between these two teams, the rivalry is intense. A coach can lose all his games and win the rivalry game and survive. Our food might vary from the traditional Thanksgiving fare. Many times the turkey is fired and beef or shrimp or beef & shrimp become the main course. If you want to try some of our favorite Thanksgiving sides: Shrimp & Wild Rice casserole http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/paula-deen/shrimp-and-wild-rice-casserole-recipe/index.html Classic Pecan Pie http://karosyrup.com/recipe_details.asp?id=485 Pecan Pralines http://allrecipes.com/recipe/yummy-pecan-pralines/
