  1. Not An Addict- K's Choice Breathe it in and breathe it out And pass it on, it's almost out We're so creative, so much more We're high above but on the floor It's not a habit, it's cool, I feel alive If you don't have it you're on the other side The deeper you stick it in your vein The deeper the thoughts, there's no more pain I'm in heaven, I'm a god I'm everywhere, I feel so hot It's not a habit, it's cool, I feel alive If you don't have it you're on the other side I'm not an addict (maybe that's a lie) It's over now, I'm cold, alone I'm just a person on my own Nothing means a thing to me (Nothing means a thing to me) It's not a habit, it's cool, I feel alive If you don't have it you're on the other side I'm not an addict (maybe that's a lie) Free me, leave me Watch me as I'm going down Free me, see me Look at me, I'm falling and I'm falling. It is not a habit, it is cool I feel alive I feel... 2. Fair winds and following seas.
  3. In Mississippi the railroads made instant ghost towns. When the railroad came through, towns that weren't close to the tracks withered and no serious commerce could be transacted. A similar thing happened when the interstates were built in the 50s and 60s.
  4. I have been involved in technology security for a very long time. As far back as the mid-nineties, my contemporaries have been privately speculating that nation-states1 have been involved on the black hat side of things. Quite a lot of things just don't make sense. The numbers and sophistication of viruses and worms, the timing of zero-day attacks and the publication of China's asymmetric warfare plan called the Dragon's Spear2. Recently- there have been a number of revelations about the US National Security Agency. Specifically their involvement in the Stuxnet worm3 and allegations that they knew about the Heartbleed flaw as far back as two years ago4. Sadly- NSA and others within our goverenment have proven to be above the law and have cost the people billions in fraud, identity thief and various cyber-crimes. I hope that I haven't drifted to close to the politics thing- I didn't point fingers at guilty parties. ________________________________________ 1- Nation-States have economic, personnel and technical resources that just aren't available to individuals, groups or private companies. 2- Information Warfare: China has a Scary Plan http://www.strategypage.com/htmw/htiw/articles/20120301.aspx 3- Stuxnet http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stuxnet 4- NSA Knew About Heartbleed for 2 Years https://www.yahoo.com/tech/report-nsa-knew-about-heartbleed-vulnerability-for-82407088205.html
  5. the idea is that they want to grow replacement organs and they have to start simple. Imagine if your Docs could, with a couple of weeks lead time, grow a new liver based on your own DNA so it is compatible on the molecular level. If they manage it, it's a huge step and a sure fire Nobel prize.
  6. Narcissism: it looks really stupid when you put it to music.
  7. Where was I gonna go? Detroit? All kidding aside: this is where the war is. I'm no longer fit to be anywhere nice.
  8. Yes- 71- my mistake. I forgot. It's amazing that the Doors went from nobody to super-group between 67-71.
  9. Depends on your definition. If you mean playing Halo on an X-box- No. I'm from the generation of gamers that came before. We played stuff like this. Back in the eighties when I was a code jockey, I wrote a version of Guadalcanal called Island War for the PC. It was public domain so I didn't make any money off of it but it was a lot of fun.
  10. Went through the same crap with Jim Morrison in 1975.
  11. In Mississippi our wise politicians have passed a much needed Religious Freedom Law. Now you don't have to do anything that offends your religion. Since slavery is biblical, I'm wondering when that is going to start back up. Anyhow- here's a link to local paper :>> http://www.clarionledger.com/viewart/20140403/NEWS010504/304030023/Gov-Bryant-signs-religious-practices-bill Here is my counter attack published in the same paper today. Well... the war continues. Send lawyers, guns and money. Peace, James

  13. Thanks Sasha! Any chance we can get a recipe for your onion gravy?
  14. In Detroit?
  15. According to the caption, this is British "traditional sausage and mashed potatoes". I know the sausage and the mashed potatoes- what is that on the left side of the plate?
  16. I've never wished a man dead but, I've read a few obituaries with great pleasure. -Clarence Darrow
  17. I was once asked by a religious nut: are you a practicing homosexual? I told him, with all due humility, "I've practiced enough. I'm pretty good at it by now."
  18. On the other end, Microsoft and hardware dealers are having to re-release Windows 7 because users don't want Winblows 8. It seems that Windoze 8 is ugly and its mother dressed it funny.
  19. For corn bread: Use black cast iron frying pan. Pre-heat pan and grease. Pour the batter into per-heated pan for x-tra krispy crust.
  20. Buttermilk Fried chicken Soak chicken in butter milk + salt for 30 minutes. Sprinkle with lemon pepper Sprinkle with flour Fry until golden brown. PS- don't "burn" your oil! Try to keep the heat down between 70%-85% of max. (I suggest Canola or Peanut oil- unless you are allergic of course)
  21. The cities around Chernobyl in Russia have been abandoned since 1986 and are very eerie. That day Soviet Authorities had a parade for the children to show everyone that everything was all right. The next day the radiation was so intense that asphalt was melting on roads. The evacuation started much too late and people are still dying. 22. If I were younger maybe. My College made such an unmitigated ass of itself a few years ago when SoulForce was touring in the South, I have no desire to go back- there anyway. I probably couldn't anyway as I was one of the alumni that picketed.
