Chapter 23 - Sam and Alex
Nephylim commented on Nephylim's story chapter in Chapter 23 - Sam and Alex
Is that a good thing or a bad thing I hope it's a good thing. My characters are hardly ever drugged these days LOL In fact in either the next chapter I post Luma gets a bit of a shock in that department -
Exactly. I don't have a low self esteem, at least not mostly. I do have trouble accepting compliments but I am confident, optimistic and happy with who and what I am... and that's the problem. If I tell anyone, even friends, the extent of who and what I beleive I am, what I know and what I do I eally don't think that I would see their arse for dust

Holy Shit - [My week is up]
Nephylim commented on Andrew Q Gordon's blog entry in Reset, Reload, Redo
So pleased it finally seems to be going well. Will keep everything crossed -
The door opens at a touch of my hand to a panel at its centre and it slides soundlessly open, revealing a gaping maw into which steps disappear, leading into darkness. I pull him into a rough embrace and kiss him hard. “Are you sure? Are you really sure?” “No. I’m not sure. I’m not sure about anything; but I have to Luma, I have to.” I hold him close, feeling the pounding of his heart. Mine is racing just as fast. I hate this. Well... If I have to do it, I have to do it fast or not at all.

I'm really, really glad you liked this story because I loved writing it and living it. Silver is an awesome person; the child in everyone. The sequel was such a joy to write. It's quite a journey for both of them but I think you'll like the way it all pans out even if you don't think you are going to.

Thank you hun, glad you liked it. I likes Effy, he's cool, but Luke is cooler. I think they were all really mean to him and no one looked further than their own peeves, except Luke

I've never been on a date. My first boyfriend was a friend I had know for a while and we just kind of drifted into it and stayed togther for 15 years. My second was someone I had know even longer who was there for me when my first left me and again we kind of drifted into it and we were together for about 17 years. In between I had a short relationship with a girl who was also there for me after my marriage broke down and again, I had known her for ages and comfort just kind of turned into something more. So... never been on a date I have kind of become resigned now that I never will. It's not very likely that there is anyone who would put up with the physical and ... er... strange side of me and I have made the firm decision that anyone in my life... friend, colleague, partner take me for who and what I am or not at all. That's a lot to expect from anyone especially where I live.

Knowing me it will all turn out fine? Are you crazy? No, in this one it won't turn out 'fine'. It will turn out just like the real world does... what must be will be.

YAY you found how to review. And what a review. I so loved it. There is still a little time to wait though. I have to finish Fallen first and then, we'll see Does this count as a cliffie

Is that it? The end? But I want more. Not that it wouldn't be a good place to end but I have enjoyed this story so much, the way it unfolded and built up. You have a skill my dear. i look forward to reading more

That was beautiful. I was there in the forest with them, listening to the guitar, looking at the stars You want to check that one for typos. I think you were typing so fast your mind went faster than your fingers. Fabulous chapter. Don't know why Josiah felt like running at the end though, I thought it's what he would ahve wanted more than anything.

This chapter was added by a crazy man. Who is a dear friend that I am crazy about. This is what he said Phana14: The story finished in the last chapter. Pressed add chapter by mistake and now can't get rid of this one. Sorry I am so totally technologically inept His explaination was that he was trying to prompt me to write a chapter 26 and more. Well, I could delete it BUT where would be the fun in that? Surely it stands as a tribute to my no 1 fan that he went to all this trouble to pr

And then a number of things happened all at once. Something in the air… changed. There was a feeling like wind sweeping across the clearing, a sound like music almost heard, the colours intensified and everything became brittle and fragile. Cai’s hand moved like lightening releasing his knife and in almost the same instant burying it to the hilt in the Sorcerer’s chest. At it struck home there was the feeling of wind passing close to Gabrielle and, as well as the hilt of the knife two

Leelany led the way along the base of the cliffs until they shrank to nothing and the river valley opened out narrowing into the distance. Without pausing Leelany galloped into the valley and along it until the path again climbed into the cliffs and suddenly Gabrielle found herself on the road she had seen in her very first dream. Again she rode past the road that led to the castle that had become her home and, instead took the narrow rocky path, clinging to the side of the mountain, climbing

The day wore on and food was brought to the counsel chamber but still no word came. Far into the night the doors remained closed and Gabrielle remained in torment. Finally she fell asleep where she sat and when she woke the sun was shining on her wedding eve. Rehanna insisted that she bathed and dressed properly on the basis that at some point she would be summoned to the chamber or somewhere else and she would look the part or Rehanna would die trying. It was whilst she was ha

By the time she had bathed and eaten Gabrielle felt better and she snuggled down into the soft warm bed thinking that maybe things wouldn’t be so bad. Maybe they would be bearable after all. From the moment she opened her eyes the next morning she regretted that thought. After breakfast with a rabidly excited Queen Ferena and an icy and spiteful Serena she had endured an hour and a half with the dressmaker and was bleeding in a dozen places and dizzy from whirling before the queen and

Calling to a stable boy she bid him make two horses ready immediately. The startled boy ran to comply. “What are you doing?” “If he won’t listen to you maybe he will listen to me.” “Gabrielle you can’t.” “Watch me.” “You are to be married in three days.” “Do you think I don’t know that? Do you think there is a minute of the day or night when I am not aware of that? And for everything Prince Orien is a sweet kind lovely person that I would not hur

In other circumstances she might have found it easy to fall in love with Orien. He was beautiful, courteous, gentle, attentive in a kind and interested rather than forced and overbearing way, intelligent and witty. Conversation was easy and he seemed genuinely interested in her life before. After that first glance the sadness had been efficiently masked and Gabrielle saw no further sign of it. And yet, out of the corner of her eye she often caught a certain pause, a sagging of the sho

When Gabrielle rode behind her father along the mountain path climbing above the village she looked down and knew that somewhere in the scatter of buildings was the only person who could have made this place seem like home. She wondered what he was doing, what he was thinking. Was he awake or was he dreaming? Was he dreaming of her? In the days to follow would he ask for her and what would they tell him? When would it come? The realisation that she was gone forever. Her view of the villag

There was something in the way he said it that made both Ben and Gabrielle turn to the road and peer into the distance. It was a full five minutes before they heard the sound of horses and longer still before they came into sight, two horses, riding at full gallop. Gabrielle and Ben immediately got to their feet and stood at the side of the road, waving their arms. The horses came to a skidding halt, raising a cloud of dust as their riders, not waiting for the horses to be still vaulte

“Hey you two. If you are finished with the male bonding stuff Lee says we need to leave.” Leelany had disappeared but there were sounds from within the cave of beds being dismantled. Cai slid off his rock and crawled to the fire scooping handfuls of sand to douse the flames. Playfully he flicked some towards Gabrielle and it showered over her bent head. “Hey, be careful with that” turning she saw the laughter in his eyes. “You did it on purpose. You beast.” She was scraping up
