Family and new friendships help Sam to rebuild and realize that sometimes the path to healing and finding home, is by confronting your past head-on.

Suddenly "straight" makes about as much sense as a diagonal and Liam needs to decide if he should try a diagonal life, or just keep swimming so he doesn't end up getting in too deep...

This experimental text plays with multiple narrative layers to create a humorous and multifaceted experience. The first layer is the straightforward story of the narrator’s mundane trip to the supermarket. Beneath this lies the second layer: the narrator’s inner thoughts, offering self-critical and reflective commentary.

The third, most distinctive layer comes from the sharp and glamorous remarks of the narrator’s alter ego, Daisy. This voice contrasts the mundane with biting humor and flamboyance, highlighting the tension between humility and hidden confidence.

Nicky and Reilly have been dating for a year, and Nicky is taking his boyfriend home over the holiday to meet his parents for the first time.

I am humbly submitting a short piece of fiction in memory of Carlos. A lot of my energy in the past year has centered around elections and voting. I have often wished I could chat with him about some of it and get his opinions. I hope he is resting well, secure knowing that work is continuing.
