This continuation of the story that began as “The Last Boys In Clinton” follows George, Lionel, and Lorenzo to Clinton, Tennessee, a suburb of Knoxville.

It will also cover the futures of some of the other major characters from that story.

Everything in Emmett urges him to run away from Finley, who radiates danger. Note: This story begins four-and-a-half years after Kept Boy to Made Man and seven months after Souris lands in Chicago. While it is not necessary, it is recommended you read those stories first as an introduction to the Land of Lincoln and many returning characters.
