A small offering to the Poetry Anthology for 2026

When the words become destructive...

We make myriad choices every day, in cooking, editing, life and much more. Here are three poems to choose from, or you can embrace all three.

My free-verse entry for the 2026 poetry anthology. Lately it seems that what seems like being a choice, really isn’t. Are we really free to decide any aspects of our own lives?

Shawn slips, falls, and dies, but his mind is transferred to himself in an alternative universe. The humans in this universe are far in advance of what he knew. Merged with an AI system, Shawn must explore this seemingly utopian world as he goes off to college only to discover a dystopian reality and military dictatorship. He was given a system that allows him certain skills or abilities and lets him improve those the more he uses the system, similar to a video game; some involve sex. Will he be able to level up fast enough to save himself, his new friends, and potentially the human race? Or, could the stakes be even higher than that?

The past has a way of catching up with you and it can turn your life upside down. When you haven't faced things completely, but hover in between, it is easy to fall into a complex of lies and half truths.

You may think you know what you want, but life has a habit of throwing a curve ball. Will Alex and Matty come through unscathed or will events prove to be overwhelming?

Whatever the outcome there will always be a sense of doubt.

Avery “Ave” Amerin is a sensitive guy with a messy romantic past, who hits it off with Clint Stafford, a charming tech leader he meets at a work party—even though Ave’s still dealing with baggage from his toxic ex and sometimes gets overwhelmed by his own feelings. [80% smut, 10% humor, 10% drama]

A collection of standalone one-shots. Will be updated periodically but probably never be "complete" per say.

Rated Teen for now. The stories will largely fit in "Coming Of Age" or "Slice Of Life" type themes.

Matt is the golden quarterback with a clear path ahead; Kitt is thoughtful, driven, and quietly carrying feelings he doesn’t dare name.

As they grow older, friendship deepens into something neither of them fully understands—or feels safe enough to confess. Family expectations, small-town pressure, and the fear of losing each other keep them silent, even as the bond between them becomes impossible to ignore.
