Everybody knows you don't put metal into a microwave. Well, probably almost everybody. This will be a series of very short stories, each covering Dave the microwave's take on what happens when something weird is "cooked" in him.

Another foray into the comedic world.

This is my first attempt at writing a story that is no gay or straight. There are people in it that are both. It is set in the future, but once you begin to read it what year it is won't matter.

When Samson receives the invite for a reunion episode of a new variety show The Playground, he accepts without hesitation. After all, it's the perfect chance to catch up with his celebrity crush turned steamy affair, actor Troy Wolfe. But when all the celebrity guests come to the reunion, the host is murdered in cold blood, leaving them to solve the mystery and find the culprit.

I was young and still naive. I had just been dumped by my first love. It was Christmas. There were good friends, a mountain chalet, a spectacular Christmas tree, a roaring fire, a view for a hundred miles, snow falling, carols playing, and I was miserable. Until a friend of my friends stopped by. Until he changed my life.

This is a continuation of my previous story, 'On My Deathbed.' In that story, Red says "I hope I’m wrong about there being nothing else. I’m a determined old bastard, so if I can let you all know there’s something else, I’ll damn well try", and "I think this is it for me. I’ll be back if I ca..." The incomplete word being can, obviously. You probably don't need to read that first to enjoy this one, but it's short, only 1,164 words.
