Peter's Probationary Poems - 1. December - Poetry Prompt 16 - Carol
December days can be so short
that night seems never-end.
But soon the darkness will abort
and longer hours will wend.
Let there be light,
begone black night.
When life’s no fun,
reach for the sun.
December days can be so cold
that ice may reach the heart.
But soon bright rays will manifold
and love have a new start.
Let there be light,
begone black night.
When life’s no fun,
reach for the sun.
December days can be so glum
that some may seep inside.
But soon there will be cause to hum
and gloomy feelings hide.
Let there be light,
begone black night.
When life’s no fun,
reach for the sun.
Remember days they will be soon,
the darkness disappear.
December days – Remember days.
Welcome a bright New Year.
