Peter's Probationary Poems - 7. Kiss

Oh, I'm so glad to see a poem from you!!
Orlando was horrific and it may have caused us to stumble but they won't stop us being ourselves and demanding equal rights.
Your poem is lovely. It is sweet and simple but the feeling and meaning is unmistakable.

I think this is an important poem because it questions assumptions about the paradigm, but does so simply by asking for one to place themselves in the shoes of another.

A kiss...such a simple, normal thing, yet it is not. If I feel like it, I do it anyway. But sometimes I just want to kiss - without anyway. Thank you for sharing.

Thank you, tim, for your kind words.

I live in a country where we do have equal rights, at least according to the law.

What needs to be fought for is that those rights are not just granted on paper, but become self-evident. I'm afraid that there's a long way to go before that goal is reached.

Thank you, Al ... and I do feel the love, which is -I have to admit to my shame- not always fully reciprocated.

I have come to accept the fact that my partner doesn't appreciate public display of affection. I don't like it and it grieves me. I hope there once will be a time when it becomes not just tolerated, but experienced as normal.

I'm very glad you liked the poem and thanks for not giving up on me.
