Choices

   (9 reviews)
Genres: Romance,
Sub-genres: Contemporary Romance

Liam is tired of feeling like he's a second choice, but walking away is never easy.

** NOTE: This is the story of Liam MacPherson, who was introduced in Unforgivable. Although it would be helpful to read Unforgivable first, Choices can be read as a stand alone story.**

There are many people who are unable to forgive a deep hurt inflicted by a former lover.  Liam  clearly has a forgiving heart and a generous one.  This story takes the reader on a roller coaster of emotions and is certainly well crafted and well told.  I heartily recommend it to everyone who has ever wanted a second chance....

A follow up story to Unforgivable, this one struck another chord with readers. I would be hard pressed to pick a favorite, so I won't. Liam is a character I wanted to comfort. He is lovable and kind... a real catch. And therein lies the problem. He is loved, but it turns out not to be enough. Read the prologue, and you'll understand. LitLover takes us on another heartwrenching journey, and weaves her words so skillfully we are caught up and carried away. This story is a real gift to those who understand the variances of human emotion. I heartily recommend you read this!

I had what is clearly the minority view that the protagonist endured too much of what I view as repeated emotional abuse by the deuteragonist for the story to have realistically proceeded the way it did. The deuteragonist’s poor behavior began in Unforgivable and, in my opinion, changed much too late to be excused. I believe the protagonist made the wrong choices much too often and I will go to my grave with this belief regardless of what others think.

But, as usual, LitLover's writing is great – even though I didn’t enjoy this storyline. Aside from the deuteragonist, there are plenty of wonderful characters involved in this story. Many of the secondary characters deserve more ‘screen time’.
