Finding A Voice - 3. Chapter 3

I Smelt the Ocean Today

I smelt the ocean today

and it reminded me of your lips.

Sweet, seductive, smooth, silky

I listened to the ocean today

and it reminded me of your voice.

Heavy, quite, continuous, joyous.

I tasted the ocean today

and it tasted like tasting you.

Salty, unquenchable, cool, unmistakable.

I touched the ocean today

and it felt like heaven.

Soft, velvety, refreshing, free.

Yet, most of all, I saw the ocean today

and it was like reading your book.

As deep as your love

full of life and wonder.

Facinating as a deserted cove.

Never settling, roam and wander.

Water matches

your eyes

amazes me.

No matter the warm waters

remaining blue.

Like me for you

Until I tell you

'I love you.'

Cradled by the ocean breeze

seduced by crashing, rolling, soothing waves.

Robbed by the bright lights that tease.

Modern day duplication of Datalus' maze.

Nightly Dream

Water crashing on an empty beach,

wind playing on the breath of the horizon.

Earth cooling steps of the many before,

fire buring the lone heart of the one.

Even the darkest days are brighter

now a friend has came into them.

I remember, 'If love comes it

is for reasons unknown.'

Good things come to those who wait?

Wishing makes one fine tune,

wishing while hiding, waiting.

Why would you?

If all that simmers is not gold,

paved road of good intentions.

To thine own self be true?

When will it be due time?

You hold beauty within your embrace

not soon forgotten is the past.

Uncertainty looms in the distance,

a wink, a smile, transfixed.

Hooked, the line tugging at your heart.

Awake wondering if loved pasted by...

Love wraps you and all doubts

diminishes like a fading glimpse.
