Diary of the Damned - 6. Entry #6
November 1st, Wednesday.
All Saints’ Day.
Yesterday was still yesterday. Thankfully, the creepy stuff stayed and didn’t pursue me the next day. I was thinking of spying further on those neighbors if they were really into the occult. But I didn’t want to be caught again. I don’t have the zombie outfit anymore so they might recognize me.
As far as I know, bad things will happen if those people continue with what they’re doing. There were a lot of things that’s going on in my head whenever I would remember the sight I saw last night. They were doing some sort of demonic ritual and it has got something to do with the Halloween date. I can’t believe they even ruined our plans to scare the kids off.
There were still no classes and I didn’t receive a call from the squad. What do you think Dee? Were they still in shock? I tried to call Caleb but he wasn’t answering. I was sure he knew what I wanted to talk about. My best friend didn’t return my calls so I knew he wasn’t ready to talk about it yet. Tomorrow’s the big reveal on what we were going to do with the neighbor’s house. I wasn’t looking forward for it yet.
I felt restless the whole day. And in return, I was planning of how to check out that very house. On the other hand, I was very scared as well. If they were into the things that goes beyond the natural realm, then they might be able to trace him back. I’ve read an article before that they have highly sensitive intuition and they will definitely not appreciate being spied on.
Max was not around so I just played PS4 the whole day in my room. But that didn’t even work for me. Not one bit. I was still fixed on what happened. It can’t be helped that I was mortified from it. I also can’t help myself from peeking at the window every few minutes. The feeling of being watched was constantly there.
As soon as he got home, I started bugging him about his day. He just said that Clyne got hospitalized so he decided to ask mom and bring him there for a visit. After that, they ate outside and talked about random things. He wasn’t really interested in the conversation so he quickly left me alone. So I knew something was up. That night, I heard him crying in his room. I can’t help but wonder what it was about.
Do you see the creepiness of it all, Dee? I need ideas and suggestions for crying out loud. We have a bunch of weird neighbors who fantasize demons. My friends are nowhere to be contacted. Max wasn’t in his usual giggly self. And school isn’t back until next week. This is crazy.
Goodnight,
Lee

November 2nd, Thursday.
All Souls’ Day.
It’s been two days since I encountered the occultists. Honestly, I felt a bit better now and Caleb finally returned my call. He just said that he needed some time alone with his folks after what happened. I just avoided the topic about the neighbors and we all chatted each other on Facebook. We all agreed that we will all talk about it next week. Jansen said that he has a friend who knows something about the occult.
Since there were no classes, I decided to spend time with Max. He and I are pretty close as brothers could get. And I am very blessed to have a supportive little brother like him whom I will always see smiling. Sometimes, someone who get to smile and laugh at you can brighten up your day. We also have our bad days but those were pretty rare occurrences.
I was waiting for him to bring up what happened between him and Clyne. It was my most likely hunch because he wasn’t mentioning his name. However, Max didn’t dare bring it up. He knew I won’t stop until I got to the bottom of it. And if I were him, then he made the right choice.
To lighten things up, I asked him to go around and stroll on our bikes. Our town was fairly big so there were a lot of places to go so we went get bored. Hopefully, Max didn’t notice that I intentionally avoided that specific house. It suddenly felt like a haunted house to me. Going near it was a huge prohibition.
Since I am a paranoid human being, I asked Max if we could pass by the houses of our small squad. Thankfully, he agreed reluctantly. It was obvious that he really didn’t want to. For some reason, I just want to be sure that nothing bad to happen. Caleb was our first stop. Then Layla. Followed by Jansen. Rica was the last. Everyone was fine. But based on their faces, they were all shaken up.
It was definitely Shooktober. And if I’ll be honest with you, admitting that I am worried is a big under-statement. As of now, there were a lot of questions. But the answers aren’t really welcoming.
What’s going to happen next, Dee?
Yours,
Lee
