Lyrical Laments - 19. Chapter 19 Doggonit

It's raining, it's pouring...

Doggonit!

A day of gray

The sun at bay

Upon my breast

A dog does rest

Together we wait

For rain to abate

Our play delayed

And plans waylaid

While we stare out the window

Woe are we

Adrift on this sea

But at least we have each other

*

Poor doggy with the sad eyes. Still... she makes my heart happy. :)

Loved the poem even if it didn't feel like a lament to me.  Dogs and cats make very good companions with which to play, relax or mediate with on a  rainy day in a nice cosy room.

Thanks, Terry! Yeah, I co-opted Cookie's lament. :P She sure keeps me busy. Cheers!
