This is a beautifully written story of love between two friends. Not for the first time has AC Benus brought tears to my eyes and melted my heart. No one writes men in love like AC Benus, no one.  Don't miss this lovely, touching and joyous journey of the heart.

Response from the author:

Thank you for your touching and beautiful review. It means the world to me! Muah

Two teens become best friends in high school and spend a lot of their summers camping out in the back yard of Chuck’s parents. After graduating he joins the military and is stationed on Hawaii. His best friend Lee comes to visit and go camping the next summer, after they have been apart for a year. The tale of their reunion is mixed with short flashbacks to the past which make us understand the nature of their friendship, and how Lee feels about Chuck. AC skillfully takes us on a short, but tense road trip where we keep worrying and hoping in turn. The subtle and the almost philosophical undercurrent of the dialogue and the reactions of the guys lifts AC’s story from a simple coming out tale to understanding the importance of being honest to your true self and recognizing the connection that may change your life.

Response from the author:

Thank you for a wonderful review, Tim! I like how you end your comments by talking about connections. At the end of the day, I think all of my writing comes down to that theme. Thanks again

Wow. AC Benus has to be one of the finest writers GA has. If you have not read his gorgeous, intelligent and brilliant prose, try this wonderful novella. Then when you're done. ..go read the rest of his work!

Response from the author:

Thank you, Mike! Your shout-out is well appreciated :) I'm glad you read this novella, and please check out my new one in the Spring anthology "In the Stars" (my story's called Finding Joy, btw -- yes, I know, shameless plug)
