Pride Month, and other Haibun - 8. Season

.

Season

Haibun

One of those days here, in our winter, when lofty winds decide to play with more than their clouds.

Sun parquet’d pavement

Hides the season pretty well,

Until the rain falls.

oh i like the parquet'd pavement!   Excellent, AC!

Thanks, Tim! Actually, that concept goes back to something @aditusposted quite a while back. Been simmering on the back burner until today, it popped out, like Hart Crane said words should for poets. Thanks for reading :)

i hate days like that

they play with your emotions, make you start to think that the sun and her warmth are coming back

then you discover it was just a nasty joke

the images are so clear here, glad you were inspired to write

I like this one, for parquet’d pavement, and for the breath of spring in the midst of winter. Awesome.

Thank you, Parker. I'm glad you read it :)

Your words created a beautiful picture in my mind. I can see the sun rays and hear the coming rain, which reminds of winter, but also is a reason to cherish the sun even more. An amazing play with the contrasts.

Thank you for sharing it. Muha 🙂
