For Peter's Sake

   (5 reviews)
Genres: Comedy,
Sub-genres: Dark Comedy

Peter has a big problem. It's with Andy's allergies. To figure out a solution, he takes one of his long walks in the city. During his walk he buys a dog named Suzie. His walk is interrupted by a falling overloaded 20-foot container. He doesn't go to Heaven or Hell but ends up in the Hereafter. There is a beach, tea is in the morning, a wonderful buffet is served promptly at noon, and there's an evening soiree. Also, there are three background characters who are up to no good.

This is an intriguing look at what the after thinks your existence might be like after death if you go to the hereafter, at least what it was like for Peter.  He wasn't expecting to die, nor did he know what to expect once he was dead, but he thought he would go to either heaven or hell, yet he ended up in the hereafter.  In fact, Peter's hell might have been the life he was living on earth with his often troublesome spouse.  To find out if he made out better or worse in the hereafter you'll have to read this creative short story, and you may be surprised by what you discover.

After reading this, I'd have you ask who the real creatures that were featured were.

Response from the author:

Thank you for your review. The dog was real. The beings in the afterlife, be they angels, spirits, or creatures that exist in a continuing consciousness, are open to the imagination.
