Paternity 12. Chronicles Of An Academic Predator (CAP)

   (1 review)

Paternity is the twelfth story in the CAP Saga. The story takes place in 2000, with Wade Danfield and Will Schluter as our primary narrators. Many of the characters in this story were introduced in “Chronicles of an Academic Predator,” “1968,” “The Land Whore,” “Be Rad,” “Man in Motion,” “A Summer Love,” “If It Fits,” “Bloodlines,” “The Box,” "Millennium," and "Poor Man's Son."

Before you read this story, consider:
1. It contains graphic descriptions of sex between men. There is even be some sex with women in here.
2. Be aware of the effects of inflation. A good rule of thumb is to consider that $1.00 in 2000 is probably similar to $1.40 in 2011.

I've just finished Paternity for the third time and it is amazing that I find new things and new insights each time. Mark Arbour's true talent is to create characters so rich, real and relatable that we actually care about them as if they were real people and we share their emotional ups and downs. Paternity is almost an ironic title in the Chronicles Of An Academic Predator series, where no one's apparent father is actually their father and men who have no blood relation to the children they raise wind up being good fathers anyway.

Paternity is Book 12 of the Chronicles Of An Academic Predator series, but it isn't essential to read the previous 11 books, just helpful.

About all I can promise without spoilers is that there is never a dull moment in a Mark Arbour tale.
