Moggy's Whisperings - 5. Sighs in the Night

If I just lay here
Lost between slumber and awareness
My mind recalls:
Whispers in the night,
That bring shivers to my spine.
Gentle breaths blowing past the curve of my ear.
Lips nibbling at my collarbone.
Fingers threading through messed up hair.
Sweat being wiped from my body.
Just lying here, a single tear escapes.
My heart sighs, wondering if
will you ever heave a sigh and wish for me?

The memories of what once was. Your words are reminiscent of lilies just past their prime flowering. Still fragrant and yet there is that subtle scent of lost glory.

Your words make tangible how darkness almost always bears witness to our deepest feelings.
