Moggy's Whisperings - 1. For My Friend

He writes words of beauty,
From a soul awash in pain and sorrow.
So buried in the darkness of the past
That he keeps losing the light.
No matter how far removed that past may be.
It sucker punches him from behind
And down the rabbit hole he goes.
In those times we’ll call from the dark shore
To break through those waves of drowning memories
So he may find his lighthouse.

I love the idea of friends being homing beacons for each other. I know I have a few beacons I can rely on.

Beautiful in its sadness moggy.

Sometimes all we can do for a friend is be there for them and hope we are enough of a light to help them find their way back to the present and all who love them.

Your words , are probably one of the primary rays of light and recognition that will draw and anchor your friend in the light for a time.
