Moggy's Whisperings - 2. Snow

Snow

Swirling in the air

Like so much fairy dust

The ground calling for its protector.

Wanting to be wrapped in glistening paleness

Like so much laughter it swishes this way and that

Until so many snowflakes join in

It can’t help but fall.

Covering the landscape in

Blankets of pristine whiteness.

I know most hate snow. i have always loved it. (well not the shoveling part). To me, it's the life blood the Earth need to tuck its self to bed for sleep and a chance repair its self.

I also love the restfulness that comes with snow. And the silence. It invites you to stop and reflect. Blanket yourself from the world too, and give pause.

Lovely, moggy... I love a snowfall, and I know it is nourishment for the coming spring. I am, though, beginning to hate the aches that come with the cold. :)

I love snow; it’s myriad reflected colors are the jewels of winter. And the ground calling out to snow as its protector - what a wonderful image.

:glomp:thanks Parker. yes, you understand! watching the northern lights reflected off the snow is like someone has sprinkled mini emeralds and rubies across the landscape
