I seldom give a story five stars, but I felt this one deserved the highest praise I could give. Ronyx has developed, in me at least. a reputation for very dark characterizations, but in this story, even though I was waiting for the negative twist all the way through my reading, I was very pleased that he was able to take a dark character and turn him to the light just as he was able in other tales to turn a character to the dark side. This story MUST be read as a sequel to Mark's Revenge, but if done so, is a welcome upbeat.

I am soooooooo glad I read this story after reading Mark's Revenge.  I had a very negative feeling about Scott after reading Mark's Revenge.  I found that started looking at Scott with a whole different perspective early on in this story.  Did he deserve what happened to him in Mark's revenge, absolutely, the way he acted in that story, he deserved everything he got, but I was really glad to see why he was the way he was.  I suppose any of us could turn into someone like him, but it was great to see that he could change.  If you read this story, you must read Mark's Revenge.  It is really great to see that Scott had some hidden talents that he had never tapped and he was able to turn them into something positive.  I really hope that the author will have to them to read another sequel to this and Mark's Revenge and bring everyone back together.

This is a tough review to right.  First, by itself I would not give this story 5 stars.  To understand why I did give it 5 stars, you should know this is the second half of a much larger story.  Scott's Story is the second half of the story started in Mark's Revenge.  Both by themselves are only 4 stars.  Together I would give them even more that the maximum 5 stars.  I suspect that they were written as two different novels because they have two different main characters narrating the tale from two different POVs, but their synergy together is what propels them to the highest rate I can give.  Therefore, please read both halves in order.

Scott is a despicable character in the first book you will come to hate.  He starts out that way in the second book, but gradually changes as he gains what he never had, a loving family, acceptance, support and a chance to be valued for what he does.  This is a complex and well written story that will grab your heart.  It's also has some very erotic scenes that are not trite or conventional.
