Tiger's Book of poetry - 10. Poem 10: Seasons of Amour

Spring takes hold of the luscious plains in green glory

Young lovers venture to the warm meadow as hearts take flight

A gentle kiss sends them soaring into the heavens festinately

The blooming flowers and butterflies take notice of young love’s grandeur

All is beautiful and all is amazing as paradise takes residence in the meadow

Spring rain comes only to fuel the passion of youthful amour

Young paramours make love as the water flows gently from above

A gentle thrust shows great affection and care as hearts become one

The claps of thunder and bolts of lightning feed young lovers’ intensity

All is graceful and all is methodical as the world melts away around them

Summer takes hold in the great wood with humidity’s enmity

Young passionate ones wipe sweat from one another’s brows

A gentle touch reminds them of love’s sweet divinity

The creatures of the wood become envious of young love’s marvel

All is phenomenal and all is providential as they frolic in the woods

Summer heat waves roll into the lonesome valley

Young adventurers seek refuge in a pool full of cool aquatic splendor

A gentle splash reminds young lovers they are also best friends

The neighbors notice though would rather not the hydrous shenanigans

All is festive and all is of lamb until hardness returns to their loins

Autumn takes hold as the beautifully colored leaves paint landscapes

Young husbands seek a life of fulfillment and joy together

A brisk wind reminds them of joyous and consequential times

The inhabitants both human and beast see great splendor of love

All is meaningful and all is consummative as the bond grows stronger

Autumn rains hasten the falling leaves’ journey to the earth

Slightly older husbands enjoy a reticent evening

A gentle sigh reminds him of the love bestowed upon him

The neighborhood is tranquil and the amorous men content

All is blissful yet low-key as snuggling persists infinitely

Winter takes hold with the vengeance of permafrost’s malevolence

Older lovers cuddle by the fire with ease and contentment

A gentle crackle of the fire reminds them of great years together

The neighborhood is barren and abandoned in the cold of night

All is placid and all is cheerful as lovers reminisce

Winter snow reveals the end of the lovers’ journey concomitant

Old lovers separated by the tragic reality of death’s tangibility

A playing of Amazing Grace reminds him of his love’s departure

The church is somber and teardrops descend abundantly

All is dismal and one feels forsaken as funeral blues consume his soul
