Tiger's Book of poetry - 11. Poem 11: Blind Heart

You see not the possibilities for us and so I must concede

Nothing I can do to make you see what could be for I am invisible

I shall have to move onto greener prairies and more lush forests of love

Though the path of loneliness is the only path I have ever known

You see not how much I care and want nothing more than to bring joy

Nothing I can do that will show you what it is I want you to see

I shall not complain about what might have been or what should be

Though the heartstrings of mine are telling me to seek what I want

He sees not how well I would treat him given the chance to love him

Nothing I try to do ever seems effective so I must give up

I shall walk the path of loneliness until someone will see fit to rescue my heart

Though something tells me that it shall not be any time soon

He sees not my heart of compassion that may grow into love not waning

Nothing I can do can show the emotions I feel adequately enough to make it so

I shall try not to worry about such things any longer and move through a better path

Though my heart wants me to walk the path to the heart of the one I seek
