Impressions and Reflections - 3. Poem 3:Remembrance

Remembrance

Remembering a friendship so dear with all its glory
I have struggled to maintain our wonderful bond
The answers are so unclear but I will be patient with you
For I know we can be great friends for the rest of our lives

Remembering how we helped each other through the darkness
I have noticed how reliable and trustworthy you truly are
The answers lie within finding common ground again
For I know we can be close again once the dust settles

Remembering the time when I had lost my way in darkness
I have not always been easy to pacify with kindness
The answers were hidden from me in the worst of times
For I know I was in the pits of despair and agony

Remembering all the hours we talked and laughed together
I have been missing those days with the fondness I have
The answers to all the questions in my mind are obfuscated
For I know you are not in a jovial spirit of mind

Remembering your playful spirit of fun and mischief
I have missed the real you who seems to be gone
The answers may be hard to find but I am resolved
For I know we can rekindle the spirit of amity

Remembering the friend I love for who he is
I have been lost in my own painful world
The answers have not been presented to me
For it seems like the cause is a lost one
