Feelings I Don't Know How to Say Otherwise. - 6. Breach

Teardrops roll down the sides of my cheeks: some racing to the finish line while others cling longingly to the lashes, sliding unwillingly down the side of my face, leaving a trail of themselves, eventually running out.

I empathise with those teardrops. I walk around with a cavity in my being, leaving a trail of myself behind me. I wrap my arms around the void in my centre, trying to hold in my matter. But it betrays me, oozing through my flawed defence and tumbling in streams down my sides.

I often wonder if it would run out and most days, I conclude that it will. So often, I move purposefully; cautiously, afraid to upset the delicate balance, hoping that my unlikely barrier would not be breached.

Other days, I let go. In doing so, I hope that the streams of my essence would run uninhibited, seeping deep into the soil to fertilise the earth with my thoughts. I will the streams to gush like rapids to feed the germinating seeds of my consciousness. I push with every ounce of strength the life out of my carcass, to overflow and flood the fields of my infinite being.

Today is such a day.

But tomorrow, I expect will be like most days.

I don't like crying. It's like a raining day. Rain is needed sometimes, but I hope it doesn't last too long.
