Forever Yours - 2. Chapter 2: Marcos is trying to make up for his mistakes. Will Ramon forgive him?
Ramon reached his house and he saw his brother staring at him as if he suspected something was wrong. He tried to put up a smile but he knew that he was not going to fool his brother. This was not the time he usually came back from work. It was only 3 pm and anyone would ask him why he was back so early in his uniform and looking so devastated.
"Hey!" Eduardo said to him. "What's up with you?"
"What do you mean?" He stuttered.
"Why are you back so early and in your uniform?" Eduardo asked as he got up. "And why do your eyes look as if you have been crying?"
Should he tell him or just cook up a lie? Eduardo was the kind of person who was difficult to fool. Ramon knew that he would see right through him. But Eduardo was also an overprotective brother who would do anything for him and if he knew that Marcos had attempted to rape him, he was gonna do something. The bastard deserved that but if Eduardo caused any problem he would be thrown behind bars and Ramon wanted to protect him.
"Hey!" Eduardo yelled. "Why are you quiet? Did something happen at the hotel?"
"N-no, nothing happened." He stammered.
"Then why are your eyes red?" Eduardo asked as he came closer.
"You know you can tell us anything, son." He heard his father speak for the first time since he came home.
"It's nothing." He said as he tried to put up a smile.
"If he doesn't want to tell us father then I will go there and find out what happened," Eduardo said as he began going away.
"Trust me brother it's nothing," Ramon pleaded, holding on tightly to him, but Eduardo didn’t even stop.
"Please father, stop him,"
"Your brother is just worried about you and if nothing happened then you don't have to worry about anything."
"What if he causes some sort of trouble there?" He asked his father.
"If nothing happened then there will be no kind of trouble." His father answered.
Ramon ran to his brother who was busy going. It was either he told the truth or he caused trouble. If he went to the hotel he would find out that Ramon had quit and that would raise questions.
"Please, stop," Ramon begged as his brother stopped and looked at him.
"What are you trying to hide?" Eduardo shouted at him. "I am your brother and I have to look out for your welfare. If there is nothing wrong then there is no harm in asking right?"
"Please don't go," He answered quietly. "I will tell you what happened."
He felt the fear slip through him like electricity. He knew that the worst was not over as he still had to bring Eduardo to order. Ramon took his brother inside the house and they both sat on the couch while he gathered the strength to tell his brother and father what happened.
"We are listening." His brother said to him.
Tears welled up in his eyes as he stared at the two people that he loved the most.
"I have quit my job and that is why I am home." He mumbled.
"Quit?" His father gasped. "Why did you quit and is that why your eyes are red?"
"No!" He sighed. "My boss tried to... he attempted to Rape..."
He lost the courage to finish the sentence and just closed his eyes, trying to breathe normally.
“Trie to what?” Eduardo asked in a voice that was barely above a whisper. “Ramon?” He furiously shook him.
“He tried to rape me!” He said with tears following.
"What!" His father yelled, rising from the couch. "He tried to rape you?"
Ramon nodded as he couldn't bring himself to say any word.
"How did that even happen?" His brother yelled. "Isn't your boss that rich guy, Martinez, or something?"
Ramon nodded and he began narrating the story of how it all started from the first day Marcos had come to the hotel. He narrated the entire story to them and his face was wet with tears by the time he was finishing.
"And today he had almost succeeded in raping in me." He concluded.
"The nerve of that guy," Eduardo bellowed as he suddenly rose from the chair. "I am going to teach him a lesson which he will never forget in his life."
He felt like a storm was going through his system. His fists were clenched and his body shook with rage. He didn’t just see red, his eyes instantly turned red. He was ready to kill him.
"Please, don't do anything." He begged.
"And why should I sit and do nothing?" Eduardo shouted. "That man needs someone to show him that just because he's rich doesn't mean that he can just do anything he wants. He has to learn not to mess with you. He needs to know that you have me to protect you."
"But you might get into trouble." He sobbed softly. "Just let it go and he didn't succeed anyway, so let's just live peaceful lives."
"I don't care if I get into trouble but I must do this," Eduardo yelled.
This was what Ramon had feared and if he didn't stop his brother then there was bound to be trouble. He couldn't fight someone as powerful and rich as Marcos.
Eduardo managed to get Ramon's hands from his waist and he was about to leave when his father spoke.
"Wait!" He said quietly.
Eduardo stopped and Ramon was glad that his father did speak at the right moment or they would have had a lot to lose.
"Ramon is right." He said as Eduardo stood there looking confused.
"But father do you want us to sit and do nothing?" Eduardo tried to argue.
"He is a powerful and influential man and if we want to live peacefully then we must let it pass. Let just thank God that nothing happened to Ramon. I think it will just be better if we forget that this entire incident ever happened. Ramon has quit the job and therefore he will not see that man again. I think it's enough knowing that your brother is safe."
Ramon loved his father. Instead of him reacting violently he still cared about the love and peace of the family and most importantly, the welfare of his sons. If he was like Eduardo, they would have been on their way to the hotel but he thanked his lucky stars he was a very wise man.
***
Marcos just sat on the floor trying to figure out what had just happened. Ramon had rejected him and pushed him away. He couldn't understand what was going on. He had even failed to get up from the spot where Ramon had pushed him. This was it.
He concluded that no matter what he did, he was never gonna be able to have sex with Ramon. Even when he had thrown money at him he just stood there looking at him as if he had been insulted. But that was Ramon's loss and maybe he was gonna try it again when the boy came back to his room. But right at that moment, he couldn't think properly. He needed someone to fuck.
He quickly went to the wardrobe, put on a t-shirt, and left in a hurry. He knew the right place to go, a gay bar. Though it was still daylight he had to find someone and there were still a few hours before night came so he went outside the hotel and drove off to a gay bar which he had searched online a night after his arrival.
He drove quickly and later found himself at the gay bar after driving an hour through town. He stood at the entrance and browsed through the whole bar for someone who would interest him and who would be a great catch to relieve himself from his horniness.
He browsed through the whole bar and saw a guy who was sitting alone with a glass of what looked like vodka. The guy was red-haired, handsome, muscular and though he was sitting at the counter, Marcos noticed that big bubble butt which was what he needed. He felt his dick rise at the thought of ramming his big fat cock into that big bubble butt and he knew that this was the guy who would help him out of his suffering.
He had his target and he began heading straight to him. He quickly reached his target and sat on a chair next to him on the counter.
"Is there anything you want sir?" The barman asked him.
"Just vodka," He said with his eyes on his target.
The man stared at him and when their eyes locked, Marcos winked and the man smiled seductively, biting his lips. The man seemed very interested in him and he knew that it would be very easy to fuck him. After all, he was a playboy and knew exactly how to turn any guy on.
His vodka came and he drank it all at once and it made him even hornier that his cock pulsed painfully. He took out 50 dollar note and put it on the counter and decided to make his move on the man.
"Hey!" He whispered in the man's ear.
"Hey!" The man answered in a sexy voice.
"Wanna get out of here and do something so crazy that you won’t ever forget in your life?" He whispered back. “I have got the weapon that you need.” He nibbled on his ear and felt him squirm in his seat.
“Fuck!” The man moaned, literally creaming himself. “Hmmm… I don’t usually like strangers, but you, sir, are a beauty to behold. I like you. And I am Henry.”
Why wouldn't he be interested in him? No guy whom he had ever approached had ever rejected him except for Ramon.
Just like a flash, Marcos felt Henry's hand on his crotch massaging his cock through his pants slowly. This sent chills in his entire body and he gave a low moan. He didn't care if someone saw them or not. This was a gay bar and anything was bound to happen.
"Wow!" Henry said in a sexy voice as he licked his lips. "What would it take to have that weapon down my throat and later riding on it?"
"Would you be able to handle that?" He asked with a wink.
"I can handle anything," Henry Whimpered, trying to cotain himself. “I can show you right here if you want me to.”
Now they were getting somewhere with this conversation.
"Would you go with me back to my hotel?" He asked, breathing on the man’s face. “I got crazy things I need to show you.”
The man moaned. “Sure!”
Wow! This guy knew the words to use on him. These were the kind of guys that turned him on and the type that he liked to fuck. This guy was ready to have his ass fucked and Marcos couldn't wait to hear him scream his name.
They got up to go when all of a sudden he felt his bladder get full. He asked Henry where the men's room was and he quickly went there to take a piss but found it hard. After a few minutes of struggling, he finally emptied his bladder and was about to zip up when he heard Henry's voice.
"You took long, so I decided to come and check how you are."
Just Henry's voice was good enough to make his dick painfully hard again.
"I had a hard time. My dick is just so hard."
"Would you like me to help you with that?" He asked.
Before Marcos could say anything Henry had his hands on his crotch massaging his big cock inside his pants and he couldn't take it. He gripped Henry by the neck, threw him in a cubicle and locked the door behind them. Before Marcos had even settled, Henry furiously unbuckled his trouser letting it fall to the floor. He was left with only a boxer and it was wet with pre-cum.
Henry kissed his boxer briefs and licked it sending him over the edge and he held his head urging him to continue. Henry slowly removed his boxer with his teeth and his member flung out, hard and standing straight. He could see the surprise look Henry gave when he saw his dick and he could immediately see the look of lust in his eyes.
"Yummy!" Henry sang as licked the head of Marcos’ dick.
“Oh fuck!” Marcos cried out in pleasure, licking his lips sensually.
He grasped the back of the man’s head as he licked his cock and couldn't help but moan. He licked his head as he felt more pre-cum coming out from his dick. He took it in his mouth and that warm sensation made his whole body yearn for more. He knew he wouldn't last when Henry started working his mouth on his dick giving him a pleasurable feeling which he hadn't experienced since he came back. He could feel the pressure building in his balls and he knew that he was near. His moans increased not minding if someone was hearing him.
"Yeah," He moaned. "Suck that big cock. Make me cum."
Henry's mouth thrusts increased and Marcos felt his body vibrating in pleasure. He could feel the pressure building in his balls and he knew that he was going to cum.
"I am coming." He said loudly as he moaned while Henry increased his pace. "I am coming, oh!"
He felt that orgasm build like a volcano, and he was ready to explode in that hot, sexy mouth. He cried out in pleasure as he aggressively thrust into that mouth, shooting his hot seed, but what happened left him speechless and scared at the same time. While he exploded, everything suddenly turned white and very bright that he closed his eyes. He heard someone calling his name and when he opened his eyes, he saw Ramon smiling at him with the most beautiful smile he had ever seen in his life.
Could an orgasm have led him into hallucination? Why did he suddenly see Ramon smiling at him? He did not know what was going on but he knew that he was hallucinating and it would soon pass. But Ramon was still there smiling and he could still feel his cock releasing the last drop of cum in Henry's mouth.
"I love you." He heard Ramon say as he suddenly disappeared and everything went back to normal. "I love you."
Suddenly he felt very weak that he almost fell collapsed if not for the wall which gave him support. He had never experienced such an orgasm in which he became weak. Henry had given him the greatest blowjob he had ever had in his life but when he looked at him, he was looking so surprised and his eyes were wide open.
"That was one powerful blowjob." He commented with a smile.
But there was one thing which he couldn't understand. When he saw Henry, all the lust he had for him was no longer there. He felt dirty and irritated at what had just happened. What was going on?
For the first time in his life, he, felt horrible that someone he had just met had given a blowjob. This was strange and a playboy like him wouldn't have cared but he had a feeling of guilt like he had done something wrong or betrayed someone.
"What are you talking about?" Henry asked looking puzzled. "You have not even cum yet and your cock is now flaccid."
He looked at his cock and it was flaccid. He saw that there was no cum anywhere and he suddenly felt embarrassed that he was naked in front of a stranger. He quickly put his cock in his boxer and picked his trouser and smiled sheepishly.
So what he had felt was not an orgasm? Then what was that all about and why was he feeling so weak? He no longer felt the need to have sex and why the hell was he feeling so embarrassed at Henry who he was about to fuck? He didn't care about those questions but all he knew was that he had to get out of there while figuring out what had happened. He quickly dressed properly and opened the door to get out of the toilet before Henry touched his crotch and smiled seductively.
"Stop that." He yelled suddenly.
He removed Henry's hand from his crotch and turned to leave before Henry quickly came in front of him and caressed his chest which felt irritating.
"Hey!" He yelled. "Will you please leave me alone?"
"What's the matter, babe?" Henry asked him.
"Look I know that I agreed to this but I am sorry I can't do this. I have to go." He said as he searched his pocket for some money.
He took an awful lot of money not caring what amount it was and gave it to Henry.
"I am so sorry for this but I hope this can cover up for all... that." He apologized and stormed out of the men's room.
He quickly got out of the bar to his car and drove off. It was already getting dark and he was not thinking straight. So many things were in his mind and his body was weak. While driving, he had to go out of the car to throw up and he threw up about thrice before he reached the hotel. As soon as he had gotten out of his car, memories of Ramon came to him especially the hallucination he had at the gay bar.
"I love you." Ramon's voice rang in his head and he was filled with emotions which he never knew existed. For the first time in his life, he longed to be with someone. Not for sex or anything sexual but just to be in his presence talking, laughing, kissing, cuddling, and just pleasing him. Those emotions got the best of him as he felt his first tear go down his face at the thought of what he had done to the same boy he wanted to be with.
Something strange was happening to him and all he wanted to do was cry. He wanted to see Ramon, apologize for being such an idiot and he immediately found himself going to look for him before he suddenly stopped in his tracks.
"What are you doing, Marcos?" He asked himself quietly. "After what you had done he is probably in shock."
He decided that it was best if he talked to him the following day when he had rested and forgotten about everything. He weakly went to his room to rest and found himself on the bed trying to sleep and he quickly drifted off to sleep and soon found himself in dreamland.
He was in places he never knew existed and it was really strange. Then he was back to his room standing and looking lost. Then suddenly he heard a voice which he recognized as his own.
"Are you still thinking about this?"
He got shocked when he saw someone that looked like him, dressed all in black with a bad boy look and a band tied around his head. He was staring at him, trying to understand what was going on.
"Just accept who you are and continue with your lifestyle. All this guilt that you feel, it’s not you." He assured, giving a smile. “Just throw money at him and forget this even happened.”
He was so confused that he tried to ask who the guy was and why he looked exactly like him. "Are you going to sit and listen to that guy?" He heard another voice which he recognized as his own again.
He looked to the other side and saw another guy who looked exactly like him coming closer. He was dressed in white and looked bright as he came near.
"Don't listen to him. Don’t you think you’ve had fun to last you a lifetime? There’s more to life than sex, money and fun. Maybe it’s about time you changed your ways. And I am only here to help you."
What was going on here? Two guys who looked like him and confusing him. He needed to say something to know exactly who they are. He was about to ask when he heard a flute being played badly that he felt like it was the worst music he had ever heard. He looked and saw another guy who looked like him dressed in yellow looking like a dummy.
"I don't mean to sound rude but who are you, guys?" he exclaimed.
"Who are we?" The guy in black responded. "Are you that dumb? Can't you see that we are you?"
"Never mind him." The guy in white said. "All of us are a part of you, parts that you use from time to time.”
"And what do you guys want from me." He asked.
"I don't know what they are doing here." The bad boy laughed as he came closer. "But I am here to remind you of how much fun we have been having and more fun to come your way if you listen to me."
"Don't listen to him." The good boy yelled. "He is only leading you on a path where you will not find happiness."
The guy in yellow was busy playing his flute badly and he was standing near them.
"Will you stop playing that?" The bad boy snapped at him and he stopped playing and just looked dumber.
"Anyway, as I was saying these guys are here to take that fun away but don't listen to them. I have been with you all the time since you became a playboy and never for once have I ever disappointed you with men or boys. All of them seem to like you because of me. Just think about how much fun we would have together. Think about the boys, the asses, and the blowjobs."
Just saying that made his dick jump with joy.
"And yet you failed to get the attention of one boy." The good boy argued. "Haven't you been wondering what that meant? A poor boy that could easily be blinded by money rejected you for the first time. And what about what had happened at the bar today, do you think that is a coincidence? Those were your feelings trying to speak for themselves for the first time. For two weeks you’ve never slept with anyone all because you were serving yourself for him but when you tried to do it with someone, the reaction was different.”
The dumb guy began laughing and everyone was looking at him.
"What?" He chuckled. "I have nothing to say. I just find what you are arguing about funny."
"I hate this guy." The bad boy spoke. "Coming back to that, I did not fail to..."
"Of course you failed." The good boy answered before the bad boy could finish his sentence. "That boy was not interested in him and since he felt rejected for the first time, his feelings awoke. When he tried to get busy with that guy at the bar, his feelings reacted and awoke me, the good boy. I was dead for so long but now I have been awakened to make sure that you follow the right path. Your feelings made you weak. That boy awoke your feelings and now you can love and start a relationship with any guy your heart will tell you."
"Why have one guy when you can have many more. That is not fair if you ask me." The bad boy, folding his arms on his chest. “No matter what happens, never forget who you are. You are marcos fucking Martinez, a fucking playboy. The only way you’ll feel like a man is having anyone you want.”
"He will feel whole when he finds that one person." The good boy said with a gentle smile at him.
"That is just a lie. Don't listen to him. I have been with you for so long. This guy doesn't know anything."
"Don't forget that I am also a part of him and whatever path he chooses will be what he needs not what he wants." The good boy spoke. "At the end of the day, the decision lies with him."
"You don't understand what I am saying." The bad boy argued.
"You are the one who doesn't understand." The good boy responded while the dumb guy only laughed louder. "His feelings will now be controlling him as he is now ready to love."
There was a lot of noise as the good and boy argued and it was all making his head spin and unable to think. The bad boy was saying this while the good guy argued in contrast but he knew what he wanted.
"Enough!" He snapped, his voice echoing throughout the room. "I know what I want and you guys are just making it hard. Can you please just leave me alone?"
"Whatever!" The bad boy said before he disappeared.
"Follow your heart." The good boy said before he too disappeared.
"I never thought I would say this but good luck with your decision." The dumb guy said as he disappeared.
Suddenly the door opened and Ramon was standing in the doorway looking at him without saying anything. He was about to run to him when all of a sudden he disappeared and Marcos started calling him.
*
Marcos suddenly woke up and found himself sweating. He had just woken up and Ramon was already in his head. Why was this happening to him? Why on a time when he had messed up did he suddenly feel this way?
He took a glance at his watch and it was already 7 am. It was like he had just laid his head on the bed and he woke up. He couldn't wait for Ramon to come to his room so that he could apologize. He got out of bed and was greeted by a rumble in his tummy and he remembered that he didn't have any dinner the night before. He was still feeling a little weak but managed to go to the bathroom and took a quick shower. He came out and dressed in blue cargo trousers and a white navy t-shirt. He had just finished dressing when he heard a knock on the door.
Finally, the moment of truth was here. The moment where he would get to beg Ramon's forgiveness and he hoped that nothing would go wrong. Even if it did, he was ready to kneel until Ramon forgave him and he was ready to go to extremes just for Ramon to forgive him. For the first time in his life, he was feeling bad that he had done that to that boy who probably saw him as a jerk or as a monster.
He quickly went to the door and what he saw left his mouth wide open. Instead of Ramon, a blonde girl was standing at the door with cleaning equipments smiling at him.
"What are you doing here?" He asked.
"My name is Anya and I am here to clean your room, sir." She replied still wearing a smile.
"Why are you here to clean my room?" He asked. "Where is Ramon?"
"I am so sorry, sir." She replied. "But Ramon is no longer working in this hotel."
"What do you mean by that?" He gasped suddenly feeling scared. "Who fired him?"
"No one fired him." She responded confidently as if she was happy he no longer worked at the hotel. "He quit yesterday."
Marcos felt a shiver go down his spine and he gulped, trying to hide his shaky hands. Never had he thought his actions would lead to that. Anthony was right, he thought. He had probably ruined the life of Ramon. What would he ever say to Ramon so that he could forgive him for his mistakes?
"May I come in, sir?" She asked, getting him out of his thoughts.
"Get out of here." He yelled at her and closed the door on her.
Why was he acting like that? He opened the door and saw her going and he apologized to her. She understood him and she left. He went back to his room and tried to get Ramon out of his mind and just let him go but he was filled with so much guilt. He could hear Ramon's voice telling him that he loved him and it was driving him insane. He had never felt that way about anybody before. Ramon was affecting him badly. Not in a sexual way but in a way in which he didn't understand. All he wanted was to see him and be in his presence. Was this love or just something else?
He stayed in his room until the afternoon when he decided to go and have lunch downstairs. He reached there and looked around the hotel. If not for him, Ramon would have been in the hotel working happily just like other room attendants and housekeepers. This was making him feel guilty but he knew that he needed to leave Ramon alone. He ate little at lunch and barely ate at dinner. All he thought of was Ramon. What he was doing and what he was thinking of him.
When he went to sleep that night he felt like something was missing. He was no longer the person he used to be and he didn't understand why his good side had to come at that time and cause him the pain he was passing through. He was missing Ramon so much that it was hurting.
He had a hard time sleeping and when he slept he had the same dream he had the previous night. The second day was worse than the first. He couldn't even eat no matter how much he tried. He was missing him so much. On the third day, he couldn't take it anymore and he was going to see Ramon whether he wanted to see him or not.
At exactly 10 am he found himself in the hotel manager's office.
"I need your help." He begged the manager who was looking at him with a surprise. "Please, I am desperate here."
"What is it, Marcos?" The manager asked still looking surprised.
"Do you have Ramon's address?"
He hoped for a positive answer from the manager because it would be hard to locate Ramon if no one knew his address.
"Yes, sir," He answered. "We have the address of every worker here. Even though he no longer works here we still have his records with us."
"Please, I need that address." He said abruptly, literally begging him.
The manager wrote the address on a small piece of paper and gave it to him. He thanked the manager and was about to leave when he remembered something.
"Have someone clean my room." He said and he left in a hurry.
He got out of the hotel and went to his car and drove off in a hurry. He used to stop to ask for directions but he reached Ramon's place in exactly an hour and thirty minutes of driving. He slowly packed a little further from his house. He noticed that Ramon's house was a bit further from other houses and it was near the seashore which was beautiful. The house was small. He felt bad that he had driven Ramon from the hotel when he would have made good money and get a better house.
It hit him that Ramon had good values because a person who lived in a house like he did would have accepted his offer but he did not do that. He slowly walked to the house letting his fear get the best of him. He was so nervous that his heart was racing and his body was hot. He reached the door and gathered the courage to knock on the door. It was not long and he heard footsteps coming towards the door. He was hoping it was Ramon and that he was in a good mood.
The door opened, revealing a smiling Ramon. Marcos couldn't help but put up a smile as well. Then suddenly Ramon's smile faded and Marcos could see that he was shaking. He started taking steps backward but Marcos grabbed his arm and saw tears in his eyes.
"What do you want from me?" Ramon asked as a tear run down his cheek which Marcos caught with his finger.
After forgetting about everything that had happened why was he here? Three days had passed and in those three days, Ramon had tried everything possible to forget that he had almost got raped and it had worked.
"What do you want from me?"
Ramon wanted to scream but all that came out was a tear.
"Please, leave me alone." He begged. "Just leave me alone."
He tried to get his hand free but Marcos had a firm grip on his hand and he was still smiling while he stared at him probably enjoying what he was going through.
"I am so sorry." Was the word that came out of his mouth?
Ramon felt the anger rise in him like a storm at sea. He had no idea why hearing Marcos saying that made him so mad.
"Leave me alone!" Ramon shouted.
"Are you okay?" He suddenly heard Eduardo ask from inside.
Before he could even respond to Eduardo's question, he saw him coming out of the house and the moment he saw Marcos, his facial expression changed. It was like something had possessed him. Ramon was now scared.
"You have some nerve showing up here." Eduardo bellowed as he stormed out of the house.
Marcos let go of Ramon's hand and was about to say something before he saw a punch flying at him. He was hit under the jaw, sending him flying to the sand below. It hurt and he groaned in pain, but he didn’t do anything. He felt he deserved it. As he slowly tried to get up, he kept on staring at Ramon who stared at him back with tears in his eyes.
Ramon noticed blood rushing from his nose, and he was trying to rub it with his hands. He felt his heart beat in his chest, pounding, banging, trying to get out. He ran forward, blocking his angry brother. He put his hands on his brother’s chest, trying to stop him.
"Eduardo, please stop." He yelled. "That's enough."
"I probably deserve that." Marcos said, as he got up. His shirt was bloody and so was his hand.
"How dare you touch my little brother?" Eduardo yelled. "I have been for a moment just like this. Did you think that he’s so vulnerable?"
“Eduardo, no!”
"Please let him vent his anger on me if that is the only way he will be able to calm down." Marcos said, literally urging him to go on.
"What's going on here?" Ramon heard his father's voice but he didn't have the time to answer as Eduardo was storming at Marcos.
"You are still talking?" Eduardo said as he pushed Ramon and threw another fist at Marcos. His fist slammed into marcos’ jaw and he tasted a surge of coppery blood before he even landed on the ground. He felt pain sheeth through him like a knife in his gut and he took a harsh breath. Eduardo gripped him by the collar and landed another punch to his stomach and then his face.
"Eduardo!" His father yelled. "Stop that."
"No, sir," Marcos said as he got up from the sand. "Let him continue doing it. This is not enough for what I did to Ramon. I deserve it all and more. I cannot even forgive myself for it. Maybe it’s all I need to pay for what I did."
"Well, I am going to grant your wish," Eduardo yelled as he grabbed him by the collar and threw him on the sand.
"Please stop this," Ramon pleaded with his brother, dropping to his knees. "Just let him go."
"No, let him do this." Marcos pleaded.
When he raised his face to him, Ramon saw that there was blood all over his face and on the ground. He looked hurt and in pain, that Ramon couldn't help but worry for him. As soon as he got up, Eduardo gave him countless slaps and threw him back to the ground. When he tried to get up, Eduardo stepped on his back. They were all officially in trouble and Ramon knew that a rich man like marcos shouldn't be treated the way he was. The beating at first would have been acceptable but what Eduardo was currently doing was dangerous.
"I beg of you, Eduardo," Ramon said, gripping his brother’s leg. "Please, that is enough."
"Let him go." Ramon heard his father say.
"But father, this man..."
"I said let him go." His father shouted.
Eduardo moved his foot from Marcos’ back and lowered his head to him.
"If I see you here again, I will not hesitate to kill you." He asserted as he gave him a kick which made Ramon close his eyes.
"Eduardo, I said that's enough." Their father shouted.
"I don't even care if you send me to jail but I will kill you if I see you anywhere near my brother." Eduardo warned. "Stay away from him or else, this town will be missing it’s idiot."
With one final kick, Eduardo went back in the house furiously with blood on his knuckles. Ramon saw his father follow Eduardo inside and he got the indication that his father wanted him to talk to the poor guy.
Marcos slowly got up, whimpering in pain. The guy was not in good shape but instead of him being happy for what his brother had done to him, he was affected by it. But he was angry on the other hand and just wanted Marcos to go to hell.
"Just go away from here," Ramon said when he finally got up. “Why are you doing this to me? Can’t you let me be in peace? I have already left your hotel. What else do you want?”
"I can't do that." Marcos groaned. "I came here to seek your forgiveness. I am truly sorry for what I had done to you."
"Sorry? So you know how to use that word." Ramon yelled. "You are sorry? Would you be here saying sorry if you had succeeded in raping me that day?"
"I am so sorry." Marcos knelt down, putting his hands together. He didn’t mind who saw him. "I now know that what I did was wrong. I shouldn't have lusted for you in the first place. Just give me a chance to show you just how much I am sorry."
"Just go and let me be," Ramon said as he turned around to go back to the house wondering if something was wrong with Marcos. First, he was encouraging Eduardo to beat him and now he was kneeling in front of him begging for his forgiveness. He was not stupid. Probably there was a motive behind this strange act of and he was not going to give in.
"I am the kind of person who never gives up on anything." He shouted. "And I will never stop asking you to forgive me. I am going but I will be back and I won't leave until I show you that I am sorry for everything and maybe I may just be lucky enough to earn your forgiveness."
What did he mean by, 'I will be back?" This was bothering Ramon and he didn't want Marcos to be following him around just to ask for forgiveness. Oh hell no.
Ramon went back into the house and shut the door. He could feel as tears began building in his eyes. Why had he felt bad that Marcos was hurt by his brother? He looked through a window and saw him going to his car and drove off quickly. At least he felt relieved that he had gone but that statement that he would be back kept ringing in his head over and over like it was on repeat mode.
"Is he gone?" His father asked.
"But he said he would be back to show me that he is sorry," Ramon whispered.
"What?" Eduardo yelled. "That guy is asking for it and I will give it to him."
"Eduardo, this will not be solved with violence." His father answered. "I think we should just leave him alone. As long as he's not causing any trouble we will be fine. I am sure he will get tired and leave. We should just ignore him."
Ramon thought that his father was right. He couldn't trust any word Marcos said and it was just better to ignore him. He was safe with his family and Marcos couldn't do anything while he was at his home.
Ramon went to his room trying to forget about everything. He cooked lunch but it seemed like no one was in the mood to eat so he went back to his room to try and get some rest. He didn't find it hard to sleep and he slept for a few hours and woke up at 4 pm. He had overslept and it was time to take a stroll on the shore to forget his worries. He found his father sitting in the living room reading a novel. Eduardo was also resting in his room, probably trying to forget about everything that had happened.
He picked up his sandals and began heading outside. He checked if Marcos was back but to his surprise did not see him. He was glad he did not come back or it would have been very bad for him and he didn't want his brother to hurt him anymore. He was such a jerk but Ramon didn't know why he was so concerned about him.
The water felt good on his feet and all he wanted to do was just let it take all his worries and troubles away. Was that too much to ask? The water was helping him a lot and he soon felt like all his troubles were gone. For a moment there, he felt like nothing had happened but everything was alright. All he wished for was for his mind to be filled with a lot of happy memories which would bring peace to him.
"I am glad I have found you here." He heard Marcos’ voice.
He tried to forget that he heard that voice and closed his eyes as he felt the cool breeze on his face. Suddenly, he felt a hand on his shoulder and he quickly opened his eyes and almost screamed. There was Marcos, standing beside him wearing a smile.
"What are you doing here?" he gasped as he tried to move away.
"I didn't mean to scare you." He apologized. "I saw you here and I thought that..."
"You thought what?" He asked as his heart began racing.
"I could talk to you without any commotion."
When Ramon looked at his face, there were bruises on his nose, lip, and both his cheeks. He felt really bad but he had to get rid of Marcos if he wanted peace.
"I thought I told you to leave me alone." He mumbled.
"I told you that I would be back to show you just how much I am sorry for everything that I did. I know what I did was bad and I have realized my mistakes now. But it's hurting me to know that I caused you to quit your job and it's painful."
"Well if that's what you are worried about, I am absolutely fine. I may just be lucky and find another job elsewhere."
Marcos quickly knelt once again and it was embarrassing to Ramon.
"What are you doing?" Ramon asked.
"I will do anything just to prove that I am sorry."
"You want to see me happy?" Ramon asked.
Marcos nodded still kneeling.
"Then get up." He smiled as Marcos got up. "And leave me alone." He yelled as he began going towards the house.
He was glad that there were only a few people or it would have been embarrassing seeing a rich guy begging in front of someone like him. To be honest, Ramon was kind of feeling good that Marcos kneeled in front of him though he did not want to capture the attention of the few people that he was able to see.
He increased his pace while Marcos followed him behind still telling him how sorry he was. He had almost reached the house when he looked behind and saw Marcos standing a short distance from him. Bet the guy had given up and would leave him alone.
"Hey everyone," He heard Marcos shouting. "Can I have the attention of everyone?"
Ramon suddenly turned and saw that some people were already coming towards Marcos.
"I beg for everyone to come here." Marcos shouted that anyone in Ramon's neighborhood could have heard him. Marcos continued shouting and it was scaring Ramon.
Ramon saw the door open and his father and brother came out looking puzzled by what they saw.
"What's he doing back here?" Eduardo asked. "And what the fuck is he doing?"
But Ramon was speechless and just wanted to tell Marcos to stop his madness and go back to the hotel. He ran to him and was more surprised that Marcos continued to call the people.
"What are you doing?" He whispered. "Please stop what you are doing." But Marcos was deaf to his pleas and soon many people were gathered. People he knew very well and the people that knew him.
He could already hear some people talking among themselves.
"This is Marcos, the guy who owns the hotel where Ramon works." He heard some people say.
Marcos might cause a commotion here. What was he going to do now?
"I know you are probably wondering why I have called you all here." Marcos said to the crowd that had gathered. "I wronged someone who is a very wonderful person. Someone that I had mistaken for something else but turns out that I was wrong."
"Sir, please stop this," Ramon begged.
"I am here to beg him but he has refused to forgive me. I want you all to witness and...." He knelt and held his ears like a little child. "…and help me beg him to forgive me."
"What are you doing?" Ramon asked suddenly feeling his body getting hot.
"I know that what I did was very wrong but I am ready to do anything he asks of me if he forgives me. I am even ready to announce it on TV just so that he can forgive me. That is how sorry I am." He said quietly. "Everyone please I want you to help me beg Ramon to please forgive my shortcomings."
TV! No! He wouldn't dare do that. Now he has put Ramon in a dilemma.
"Ramon, I am so sorry for what I had done. I was not in my right senses that time but now I have realized my mistake and all I want right now is for you to forgive me."
"Please get up," Ramon begged. "You are embarrassing me."
"I will remain like this until you forgive me." Marcos declared. "I have messed up big time but I will not get up until I pay for my sins against you."
Marcos was getting to him this time and he knew that he would soon give in to his demand. This was not the man he had met and known for two weeks. That man was arrogant, proud, and looked down on him but this man was different. He was even kneeling in front of him begging for his forgiveness. That Martinez he had met and known wouldn't have done this. Who was this guy that was in front of him?
Some people were already telling Ramon to forgive Marcos but he did know what to do or say. Ramon felt a hand on his shoulder and when he looked saw his father and brother standing beside him. Eduardo was not looking angry but he was rather smiling or whatever was on his face.
"My son, I think he is sorry." His father said seriously. "What he has done only proves to me that he is truly sorry."
"I agree with father," Eduardo whispered. "I know I would like to hurt him some more but I think the guy has received enough beatings to last for a lifetime. He is a rich guy and kneeling in front of all these people only proves to me that he is sorry."
Guess they were all right. Marcos was embarrassing himself in front of all these people and Eduardo also got a soft spot. After all 'to error is human and to forgive is divine.'
"Please get up," Ramon said calmly. "I forgive you."
He was looking away while saying this and noticed that Marcos was still kneeling. When he looked in his direction he found that there were tears in his eyes and he did not know what to do. Marcos got up and hugged him tightly. He just stood there like a statue, not even responding to the hug.
People began cheering for them and some of them were even clapping. Somehow that hug felt like nothing he had ever felt before. It was warm, sweet, and made his whole body vibrate. He wanted to hug him back but he just stood there like a statue. He didn't want to start anything with Marcos because he didn't want to get hurt.
"Thank you so much for this." Marcos said after he let go of him. "You don't know what this means for me. Now, will you come back to work?"
After everything that had happened. Hell no! He was not going back to the hotel.
"I have forgiven you but can you also grant me my wish?" He asked.
"I will be able to do anything." Marcos promised him.
"Please, leave me alone." He said as he turned back leaving him standing there without saying anything.
He never looked back but just entered the house and closed the door. As soon as he had closed the door he went to the dining table and sat on the chair covering his eyes with his hands. On one hand, he needed work badly but he knew that this was for the best.
He sat there for at least 20 minutes when he heard the door open and he saw his father and brother coming inside looking at him.
"He's gone," Eduardo said to him.
"He said he will grant your wish and all he wishes is for you to be happy." His father said as he held him on his chest.
"Are you sure you are okay?" Eduardo asked him.
"I am fine."
But he was not fine. Inside, he needed for Marcos to stay but his mind was telling him something else. He could see that his father and brother was concerned for him and this whole thing was affecting them more than it was affecting him. They never talked about it and he tried to smile so that he could make them feel better.
"I just want you to be happy, bro," Eduardo said to him not knowing why he had said it. Ramon never even asked why Eduardo had said that to him.
That night when he went to sleep he had a dream about the entire incident that had happened. When he woke up the next morning he felt lonely and he couldn't understand why. When he went outside people just kept on reminding him of what had happened. Some of them even told him that what Marcos did only meant that he was very important to him because rich guys were not known to do that, especially to their fellow guys. All he heard about the whole day was Marcos. Even his father had mentioned him at one time in their conversation.
He couldn't live like that. He needed to forget that Marcos and he had ever met and he knew exactly what had to be done. That evening he talked to his father and brother about finding another job and he practically begged for them to allow him to do it.
"I will get a job that has more security." He begged. "I will try a restaurant or café just to be safe. It will also help me to forget entirely about what had happened."
That way it would mean that he would be safe because cafes are operated in the public eye. After much difficulty they allowed him and he was so happy. He did not blame them because he was their little boy and both of them loved him so much. He had planned to go job hunting early the next morning.
Ramon woke up very early in the morning and took a bath. He wore a blue short-sleeved shirt, black skinny jeans, red snickers and a bag where he had his copy of high school certificate and resume. He had a quick breakfast and left the house after saying his goodbyes. He had just walked a few meters away from his house when he saw Marcos's blue ford grand c-max coming in front of him.
He wanted to hide but Marcos had probably seen him but what was he doing here?
Marcos came close and got out of the car. He was looking handsome in his red tight shirt and black trouser which was tucked in. His face was looking fine as if someone had magically touched it and got rid of his bruises. As he came near, Ramon's heart skipped a bit when he smelled the aroma of his cologne.
***
Marcos had reached the hotel and wondered why Ramon didn't want to see him anymore after he had forgiven him. He had gone to extremes just for Ramon to forgive him and now he had lost him for good. He lay on his bed and went to sleep without having dinner and had a dream about Ramon which brought out his need for Ramon's love. He did not care whether Ramon was gay or not but he was falling for him and it was an undeniable feeling. He couldn't just control his heart which was yearning for Ramon but the bad thing was that he had promised to leave him alone.
Things got worse when Anthony came to his room the following day and he probably had the worst day of his life.
"I thought you were the one who planned on ruining his life." Anthony laughed loudly. "But according to what I am seeing... looks like you are the one who got ruined... I knew that somehow you would regret it. Just had no idea it would be this soon."
Anthony was right but he was just driving him nuts.
"You are not helping here."
"Why don't you just go to him and tell him what you want?" Anthony asked.
"It's not that easy." Marcos sighed. "I don't even know if he's gay or not and worse, I promised to leave him alone.
"I guess I can't help you out of this one."
Anthony didn't help and he didn't know what to do. That night while he was in bed he had a lot of thinking to do. Before he left Ramon alone, he had to spend at least one more day with him and then finally leave him alone. He needed to spend a day with Ramon and probably tell him that he was falling for him. At least he would leave without any burden in his heart and one day he would find someone to love and live happy with that person.
Promise or no promise he made plans to visit Ramon the following morning to beg him for just a day with him before he finally left him. He had an idea of where he would take him. A public ship excursion would be a good idea.
Early the next morning, he took a quick shower and dressed in a tight red shirt and one of his favorite black trousers. He wore sweet-smelling cologne and left for Ramon's place. He drove a little faster and was lucky to find Ramon on the road which led to his house. He was looking so handsome and he took his breath away.
When he came out of the car, he could see that Ramon was not happy to see him. Marcos was smiling even though he knew that Ramon would ask him to leave.
"What are you doing here?" Ramon asked as soon as he came closer to him. "I thought I told you to leave me alone."
"I know that and I will grant you that too. But before that can happen I want you to spend a day with me. For one last time and I promise that I will never bother you again."
There was silence and Ramon was just staring at him.
"I promise that nothing will happen to you. It will only be a boat cruise just to show my appreciation and I will bring you back myself. Please don't deny me because I won't stop bothering you."
He remained silent and hoped for a positive answer.
“Are you for real?” Ramon chuckled bitterly. “Why would I wanna spend time with a guy that tried…”
“I promise, I won’t try anything.” He raised his hands like he was surrendering. “On my life, I swear. There will be lots of people and after this, I promise you’ll never hear from me again.”
"You promise you will leave me after that?" Ramon asked him with a serious face.
Marcos nodded with a smile.
"Alright, I will come with you," Ramon responded. "But I hope that you will stand on your word."
"I will," Marcos answered as he led Ramon to his car.
Marcos opened the door for Ramon and he drove quickly to town. He quickly drove to the shipping company where he found the ship ready to leave. He quickly bought two tickets and they both climbed aboard a ship. There quite several people and most of them seemed like tourists. The boat began its journey and it was a bit quick when it started moving. As soon as the boat began moving his phone rang and it was Anthony calling.
"Excuse me." He said to Ramon. "I have to take this."
He went to a place where there were no people and answered his phone.
"Hello!"
"Have you forgotten that we have plans today?" Anthony yelled from the other side of the phone.
"What plans?" Marcos asked confused.
"Have you forgotten that the furniture for the house is arriving today?"
How could he have forgotten that he had ordered furniture for his new house from abroad and it was coming today? He couldn't do anything and had to leave it all to Anthony.
"I think you should handle that because I am not in town."
"Where are you?" Anthony asked.
"I will explain when I come back. Just call the decorators and arrange for some workers to take the furniture in. I will come and pay when I come back tomorrow." He said that and cut the call.
Marcos watched as they moved further and further from town until he could not see it anymore. Ramon was by his side but he couldn't bring himself to saying anything. There were people taking pictures while they were in the boat but Marcos couldn’t bring himself to take a picture of Ramon and himself. He wanted to say something to lighten the mood when someone called Ramon to take a picture of them. After being gone for over 20 minutes he came back smiling for the first time since they had boarded the ship.
"Thank you for coming with me on this cruise," Marcos said to him.
"It's okay," Ramon responded. "I have always wanted to be in a ship and it's a dream come true."
Those words soothed Marcos's heart and he was felt really good that Ramon. It seemed like all the people were up in the open taking pictures and chatting with others. Marcos could see that several people were talking to Ramon and some of them to him. Some people recognized him and he talked to a few but his eyes were only on Ramon. There were so many people that he even started wondering if he had made a good decision by bringing Ramon on this ship. Maybe he should have just taken him to a romantic place.
While they were standing together, Marcos called someone to take a photo of him with Ramon but he saw that Ramon seemed uncomfortable at the idea.
"For remembering the last day I spent with you." He chuckled.
While the pictures were taken there was no single smile on Ramon's face. Marcos didn't know what to say to Ramon and they were still quite many people. When Marcos looked at his phone, he couldn't believe that it was 1 pm already and his time was already expiring.
"Ladies and gentlemen lunch is now ready. You may go down to have your lunch." The voice spoke on a loudspeaker repeatedly.
People started going downstairs inside the ship to have their lunch and Marcos and Ramon were the last to go. It was self-service and so Marcos grabbed some rice, beef stew, and some vegetables for the both of them and took it to their table which was well decorated. They began eating but Ramon only ate a little and went back to the top of the ship outside. Marcos saw it as an opportunity to talk to Ramon while there was no one. He got up and followed him up. When he got out, he found Ramon near the edge of the ship looking on the water with his arms folded. He saw as the ship started turning to go back. This was the time to express whatever he was feeling. Ramon was looking so lively, so beautiful, and sexy as he stood there.
Marcos desired to hold him. To feel him in his arms while he told him exactly how he felt. Marcos went to him and wrapped his arms around him.
"What are you doing?" Ramon asked as he quickly freed himself from Marcos.
"I just want to hold you," Marcos responded as he took back his hand.
"I didn't follow you here so that you could hold me," Ramon said as he moved a few steps behind.
"I know that but I just feel like holding you," Marcos responded as he grabbed Ramon. "Please."
Ramon was struggling to release himself but Marcos just held him. When he released himself Marcos was still holding his hand tightly that he didn't even want to let go.
"I said, leave me alone," Ramon said as he powerfully tried to release his hand with force. Then suddenly Ramon slipped from Marcos's hand and what had happened next really scared Marcos. Ramon's hand slipped with a force that he lost balance and went flying off the ship and into the water screaming as he fell. Marcos's heart raced as he went to check if he could see him in the water.
"Help!" He shouted. "Someone fell overboard."
But there was no one to help and he knew he had to do something. He saw a lifebuoy and he threw it in the water. He jumped off the ship and into the water but he couldn't see Ramon. He checked all around but luckily he saw him at a distance struggling to swim, going in and out of the water. He quickly swam to him and held him so that he could not drown anymore. Ramon was coughing and the ship had gone quite a distance from them. Looks like all those swimming lessons had finally paid off because he wouldn't have known what to do had he not known how to swim.
"Help," Marcos yelled hoping the boat crew could hear him. "Please don't leave us."
He could still hear Ramon coughing and he was the cause of it. If only he had tried to behave himself.
"You idiot," Ramon shouted as he coughed. "Now look what you have done."
For the first time in his life, someone had called him an idiot and he was not feeling mad.
"And thank you too." He answered.
"What do you mean?" Ramon yelled. "You are the reason why I fell in the water and now the ship has left us."
"I had to save you," Marcos yelled back as he held Ramon tightly trying to swim with him.
"Maybe I should let you go so that you can swim on your own," Marcos said.
"No, please don't," Ramon begged as he held on tightly to him. "I don't know how to swim."
"And yet you stay near the sea," Marcos laughed.
"Not everyone who stays near the sea knows how to swim," Ramon replied.
Marcos saw the lifebuoy near him and he knew he had to grab it if he wanted to survive with Ramon. He grabbed it with his hand and both of them held on to it.
"I don't think anybody noticed that we have fallen overboard," Ramon said.
"And the ship is just too far now," Marcos responded. "They can't hear us now."
Marcos noticed that Ramon was having difficulties holding on to the buoy and so he told Ramon to get inside. Ramon got inside the buoy while Marcos held on to it as he tried to swim, pushing the buoy but the ship was just too far. The current was too strong and it was going in the opposite direction so he just gave up and let the current take him to wherever it would take them. But one thing was for sure, he was never going to let go of Ramon.
"Stay with me," Ramon said quietly.
"I won't let you go," Marcos assured him. "I will be by your side the whole time."
Marcos wondered where they would end up. He was really scared but he held on tightly to the buoy with his life and promised that he would never let go.
They were just floating and Marcos was wondering where they would end up. he didn't know what was going to happen to them while they were in the water. He felt really cold but he had to be strong for Ramon.
"I am cold," Ramon said and Marcos could feel it in his voice. Ramon was shivering and Marcos was getting worried.
Marcos extended his hand and held on to Ramon's hand tightly. If this would be the end Marcos promised to never let go of Ramon's hand and if anything were to happen to him he would die holding Ramon's hand.
