Running with the Pack 1. Running With The Pack

   (27 reviews)
Genres: Fantasy Paranormal,

Ethan Scott tires of life in the city after several years of living on the streets and decides a trip to the mountains is the change he needs. Little does he know what direction that change will take.

Some chapters contain characters getting a bit frisky, other chapters actually have sex involved, and there are some that have violence.  So this does have graphic content.
7/4/19 - Thanks to the editing work of Carlos Hazday, all chapters are now in their final edited version.  This edit qualifies as a major re-write, both from the amount of errors that are being fixed as well as new content. Just for reference the original word count was 260600.
I've created a forum post for additional discussion of the story beyond the reviews.  You're comments are greatly appreciated.

WolfM, I have so many possibilities running through my head right now, and I don't have a clue which, if any, is where this isgoing next!
Ethan may turn, or may not from Michael's bite; Aiden must decide what to do when or if Ethan changes; if Ethan changes, will he be somehow tainted by it being Michael who did it, or will Ethan's nature correct that?
If Ethan doesn't turn, what will become of him and Aiden becoming mates? Is Ethan immune to bites, or will he only turn if the right person (Aiden) does it? Since I'm not entirely sure how shape-shifters work, will Ethan turn into a wolf, or into something else which is already in his nature? Caleb seems to have problems figuring Ethan out, so does that imply there is something special about him?
Give us a clue by posting the next chapter as soon as you can--I love this story, and want so much for it to work out!

ColumbusGuy, Thank you for this. It is really fun for me to know that what I wrote caused so many cool questions. I’m going to tease here by passing on several of them as it is possible there will be answers of some type coming up in additional chapters. As far as my little world of shape shifters, a bite from a wolf shifter or a bear shifter would introduce that particular strain of the lycan virus causing them to turn into that type. Ethan having a natural immunity is possible and both he and Aiden would need to overcome that if they wanted to be together. I hope you enjoy the coming chapters as much as you have what’s already posted 

Wolf, I must agree with my fellow reviewers. Your story gets better with each chapter, and I check in everyday with the hope of seeing a new chapter. You have away of keeping everyone's interest which is hard to achieve as a writer.

Michael and Robert are sadistic, cowardice S.O.B.'s. Their rationale for why they went after Ethan is so ridiculous that I almost feel sorry for them... almost. I believe in karma. It might not come before damage is done but I'm hoping for some satisfaction in the end.

Your clues had me thinking Ethan might be one thing but with the introduction of the horse, I started to lean in one primary direction. I'll message you privately with my thoughts on what I think Ethan might be . I'm probably most definitely wrong but I want to harbor a guess anyway.

Looking forward to reading the next chapter!

Buffy, I can't say thank you enough for your wonderful compliment. I never thought this would be as popular as it is and I'm very thankful for all the people that are reading this. It encourages me to finish this project and to try and do so to the best of my abilities.

I almost feel sorry for Michael, Chris and Robert as well. I'll leave it at that for now as far as they go.
