Second Chance Prompts #502 & #507

Brrrr... Anyone want some snow? I have plenty of it that I can give! First snowstorm of the year dropped at least 10 inches on us. Who else has gotten the white fluffy stuff? Anyway, now that the talk of weather is out of the way, it's time for the weekly prompts. Once again, we're taking a look back at two prompts which, for whatever reason, got overlooked. Don't forget to share your prompt responses in the threads. To make it easier, I've linked to both of the threads.

Prompt 502 – Word List
Use the following words in a story : a cop, a statue, a ship, a pink ribbon, a bag of candy.

Prompt 507 - Creative
Your life has been easy, but now you have to make a choice that will determine your whole future. You are having to choose between not only two dream jobs, but two very different partners. The first job pays well, and leaves you with one of the two people you love most, it is also in deep space and will keep you from seeing or really talking to anyone else for eight years. However, you will be paid approximately ten million dollars. The other job keeps you in the countryside, never far from anything, with other partner you love. The big drawback is you will paid $30,000 a year, but will be given a small home to live in for the length of the project. What do you choose?

Did anyone do the last round of second chance prompts? I don't see any links in the two forum threads. So this week, I'm going to do things a little different. Everyone is welcome to comment and share a short excerpt, and link, for one of their past prompt responses.

No snow yet, but it's on the way this weekend.  I tackled Prompt 538 this week.  Here's the link to the final chapter in Zombie Dad's saga.  Check it out to find out whether or not the Pepsi treatment cured him and if he ever sees his son again.

“I need to find a way to make this right.”  The man in the white lab coat ran his hand over his face as he stared into the quarantine room.  The still form on the hospital bed haunted him ever since he had administered the wrong treatment three days prior, exacerbating the man’s symptoms instead of alleviating them.  It was widely known that Diet Pepsi intensified the effects of the zombie virus and regular Pepsi lessened them; however, after working a double-shift, the young doctor had inadvertently grabbed the wrong bottle.

It's that kind of weather here today, too.  The high is in the low 70s, which is unheard of for this time of year.  That will change tomorrow, though.  The high is in the 30s with snow predicted.  Oh well. It is that time of year!

I've written a response to Prompt 517 which didn't seem to have any takers or links attached. No link from me either yet, but once I take the plunge it'll be one of the first things I post as I'm quite pleased with it. :)

You can always post it directly in the thread for Prompt 517.  I look forward to reading it. :)

Here is my attempt to 503 prompt, which I was attempting late. And I clearly don't know 503 got featured before or not.
