The 2011 Mustang

As I indicated in a Status Update, on June 14th I traded in my 2007 Mustang for a 2011 Mustang.

Since I've been driving, this is my fourth Mustang. I've had a 1965 Mustang and a 1972 Mach 1.

The new one is Kona Blue Metallic.

A couple of things I found out about it today that I didn't know. When I use the turn signals, the rear lights blink in the sequence of inside segment, middle, outside, then repeat until the turn is made.

The other thing I learned is, it has motion sensors on the inside. I had the windows open at work and after lunch I tossed my lunch bag in and the horn started honking. I thought maybe I had accidentally triggered the panic button. Just before 2 PM, a couple of my staff had gone out to look at the car and one of them had stuck her arm and that triggered the alarm again. They thought I was standing back somewhere watching them and hit the button.

Pretty!! I have a 67 mustang in my rv parking in my backyard :P It's my sisters and has sat in the same place for almost 9 years. Pretty sure it's a lawn ornament by now.

Very cool! How does it feel to have all that power in your hands? I'm guessing you went with the 305HP V6 engine? I was excited about not only this model, but also the 2011 Shelby GT500! specool.gif

You got the V6? They are great cars, either engine. Motor Trend did a comparo and the Mustang aced out the new Camaro and the Challenger. Not the Genesis though. They have a hard-on for foreign cars.

Most definitely, Your Grace. I look forward to it.

I took it out today to see how it handles on the hi-way. There was too much traffic to really open it up, but I did manage to get it up to 80. Smooth.

I also settled on a name for it. I'm one of those guys that likes to name the car. In the past, I've used a couple of names from Stephan Kings 'Children of the Corn. Any one care to guess what I chose this time?

Renaud is the nickname Jamie has given me as one of his Beta Readers. On occasion, I'll find something that got missed during the editing process. And it's not because Renaud is known as the Angel of Death either. If you've read the story, you'll know why.
