Updates on life

Let's see here's what happen in the time I was absent from GA:

First the bad:

1. Lost my old job as a consultant due to corporate re-organization.

2. Lost my boyfriend due to lack of communications after I lost my old job. I went into isolation and he left me.

3. Stopped writing all my stories due to depression. :(

Good things:

1. Got a new, better job as the head of Accounting of a Health Management Firm directly under the CFO. Basically, overseeing several different community health centers and working with patients, vendors, and insurers. It's pretty exciting.

2. Am looking for a new boyfriend, who will stand by me during my saddest times.

3. Starting to write again, but I don't have much time or the old heart to write all my stories, so I will concentrate solely on Exodus for the time being.

Glad to hear you rebounded.

You kind of make it sound like it wasn't your old boyfriend's fault that he left you.

I entered into a self imposed depressive time in my life, I don't blame him for leaving me. He did nothing wrong.

So there is no hope for a reconciliation?

well don't blame yourself!!!!! blame the idiot who fired you in the first place, because if you hadn't been fired you would probably still have a boyfriend

but it could have been a blessing since you found out that he wouldn't stay with you through thick and thin

Ummm. I think you've made a bit of a mistake there. You say

I entered into a self imposed depressive time in my life, I don't blame him for leaving me. He did nothing wrong.

Which tends to suggest that it was your fault but really you know it wasn't your fault because you also say

Am looking for a new boyfriend, who will stand by me during my saddest times.

That's the key isn't it. It's easy to be in a relationship when everything is going well and all is light and happy. However, it's in the dark times that true characters are shown and relationships tested. Everyone has dark times and it's those who stand by you during those dark times that are worthy of you.

So... in short... It was not your fault. Your boyfriend was a jerk for not being there when you needed him. It's time to find a better one.

Go you. :)

The good side of the bad times you had to live is the rebound after you have hit the bottom. Life is always a succession of ups and downs. Believe me, you may learn much more from the downs than from the ups :great:.

I could tell you a lot about my experiences and the lessons they gave me.

Just one exemple, from my professional life : within 3 months (I was just 50) my fortune decreased from about 6'000'000 Swiss francs to zero, nothing !

What only remainded was a few friends (I lost also all the deceptive cognates who used to pretend to be true friends just to thrive from my money), some contacts and a strong will to show to all who doubted about my competences that I was able to "come back".

Good luck for your future, private and professional :2thumbs: .I'm sure you will succeed :mace: .

I am glad your sails still carry you further in life, especially to be a head in accounting. It proves that it was the organization that didn't work ... your skills were never at fault ... good luck in this next adventure.

Perhaps the journey may provide a more stronger boyfriend as you would be looking for one that's better than the previous rather than return to another that has a similar chemistry.

Perhaps it was a question of his loyalty or faith ... but any way sail on.
