So, remember all that back pain?

Yeah, the back pain that takes me out every so often more and more lately?Well, I finally found out what is causing it! Let me give you some history first, since I don't think I've ever gone over that here.

June/July 2010: My back starts to SCREAM at me. Ice pack, heating pad and some major pain killers don't work. At all. Call the ambulance, go to the nice ER and sit in a chair for somewhere near 7 hours and get a nice pain pill.

August 2010: Once more, my back is screaming at me and I go to the hospital. I get a nice shot (again) after I get some X-Rays taken.

November 2010: Back is screaming. This time...I get chewed out by the damn doctor for calling the f**king ambulance when I couldn't wait 3 hours for a f**king cab through my insurance to come get my ass. I still got my damn shot and walked out around 6.

February 2011: Again, back pain. This time I get to have a cat scan and a nice pill. Once more, I'm in a nice chair.

March 2011: Back pain. I go in with my mother this time. I end up with an IV and a saline bag being shoved into my blood stream because not only am I nauseous, but I can't really move and I'm ready to faint from the damn pain.

May 2011: Yes, once more, back pain. Once more, I'm sick to my stomach and in pain. Except this time, I'm still in some pain. This time though, they took me down to the nice man with the little wand that took pictures of my gallbladder. By the time I was done being

tortured (hey! You try having some little pain in the ass shove something into your side when it's screaming in pain) I was ready to hurt the poor tech and retching. I started to feel better.

I now have a diagnosis of stones in my gallbladder, otherwise known as gallstones.

Goody, right?

Yeah, so now I know WHY I'm in so much pain so often. My coffee/tea habit. Mind you, that's...regular tea. My herbals really don't bother me but that may be because I'm addicted to Green Teas.

So for now, me and the water bottles are having a love affair, I am taking two to three different pills (depending on how I feel), which include a generic Zantac (for my stomach), generic Vicodin (still kicks my ass) and baclophen (since I don't have any more of my generic flexerial). All of these are to keep me from getting to the point of once more needing to spend most of the night and part of the day in the hospital.

I will try to keep you guys up to date on what is going on. I haven't gotten any sleep tonight, so don't mind if this seems rambling and odd. I'm going to call my nice doctor and finally do a follow up (as long as my insurance will let me get a damn cab up there today). And set up an appointment for a surgeon for my very much needed surgery.I promise to tell you guys the info as I get them. :3

Here's hoping my gallstones aren't as big as my moms were. She spent a week in the hospital post surgery because she had ones the size of a marble! And yes, that is BIG. And dangerous. If the surgeon tries to make me try pills to dissolve the suckers, I will laugh in his face and tell him I've been dealing with this shit for nearly a year. I am not doing it for ANOTHER year, on a bland diet on top of that.I like my food! I miss my pepper! And my coffee!! *cries*

Awww, so sorry!! That's just awful. I have back pain but mine is muscular. However, I know how badly it can hurt and that flexeril, vicodin and ibuprofen is what they usually hit me with too. Maybe you can try some of those water flavor packets to make it more palatable?

I sympathise SO much. I have had pack pain for almost 15 years after breaking my back in a fall. I know what it's like to have doctors feed you pills and send you away. I really, really hope that you get the gallstones removed asap and never, never have to suffer that pain again.

*hugs* Pain sucks no matter what happens. Luckily, I'm going to the docs tomorrow (early morning) and set up this damn surgery as soon as possible. I can't do this for very much longer. *sighs and twitches*

*snuggles gently* That sucks ass.

I'm going to see the nice doctor tomorrow and then call my surgeon and set up an appointment with him. After that...>< drugged heaven for a little while.
