Weekly Wrap Up (Aug 5 - Aug 11)

Well I am finally home after my 7734 km/4805 mile drive! Thank you Cia for helping me out last week.

First off, are you like me and getting lots and lots of notifications? Well even though we didn't have a Tech Tuesday, Myr showed us all how to authorize what we get notified on. Check it out here by clicking 'Read more...' on the big red bar on any page or via the announcement. Or just go check out the actual options to selection what you are getting notifications for, not just how often/how/when that appears UNDER the blue save button on the 'Notifications Settings' box by simply scrolling down a little farther on the page.

Monday, Cia introduced us to our August Can't Stop Reading Feature Story:

For The Love

by C James

Chris grew up a loner in small-town Arizona, but things began to change for him when he started college. Sometimes for the better, but sometimes for the worse, and often with humor, the changes affect his life, as he sets for on the road of life, and towards finding the love of his life, with a lot of adventure along the way.

Don't forget.... Read, Write, and REVIEW!!!

Nice to have you back, @wildone. Not sure i'd refer to a trip of 4,800 miles as a drive! Sounds like you had a good time however. :)

Another option in relation to stories is to check the box saying Do not send me any notifications, when you press the Follow button on a story. That's what I do, if my purpose in following is to return to read again and show others the story is a favorite.

Wow, if that 4805 miles was in a week, that's averaging over 685 miles per day which should be about 10 hours a day on the road...not a fun vacation!?

Nope, that was over two weeks. Took 5 days to get to my destination of Cobourg, Ontario, and then a day trip up to Ottawa. After 5 days down in the area, I came home over 4 days. So 9 out of 15 days was driving and saw lots of things that I haven't seen since I last drove out there when I was 7. Lots of stops made it fun!

Wow, that's some drive and to Cobourg too! You should have stopped to visit Robbie and family.
