Great word but i got stuck on pronounciation. Hmm... I'm guessing it's pronounced with a hard G as in linger? But that is perhaps a misleading influence by the words meaning. Maybe the G is 'silent' as in singer? Or perhaps a J-sound as in cringe?

It's a hard 'g' sound.  Muh-ling-ger

Malinger is a wonderful word for describing the terminally indolent. Although there is nothing wrong with some judicuous malingering now and then. :P

I first came across the term when I was in boot camp and one of the staff support members doing our training was brought up on charges.  Of course that was 49 years ago....
