Day was touch-n-go, then the younger one (who is also the larger one) settled down and actually fell asleep next to my chair while I was working.

That lasted until SP got up about 40-min ago to go to the restroom. That startled her awake and she started barking at him, and when went in when he got out she was already riled up and actually snapped at me.  😢  

He's sure she'll adjust, and I hope she does.  I'd hurt so much if this caused things between us to fall apart.

i hope the pups are getting used to things ... they will come around

They seem to be slowly adjusting. Yesterday was better with the barking. We got some "calming treats" for occasional use.
