Update: We can call off the search for my pot scraper. Sadly, I have to report its demise.

In a last attempt to locate it this morning, I was searching through the neighboring kitchen drawers. I was hoping the scraper had just gone visiting some of the other gadgets and overstayed its welcome. After explaining to my husband what I was doing then describing what I was looking for, I got the following response. “Uh oh” Not good, I tell you, not good at all.

Seems he came across the very object of my search just the other day while looking for something else. As he had no clue what it was, and in his infinite wisdom of knowing absolutely every-freaking-thing, he decided since ‘he’ didn’t know what it was then ‘we’ didn’t need it. So he tossed it in the trash. I came this close to throwing my shoe at him, but I was wearing my frog shoes and they just don’t have a mean bone in their body. I should have bought the ones with the hippos on them. They’d have done some damage.

I told him 1) if the damn thing was in my kitchen drawer then it’s something I use, and 2) since he’s not glued to my ass 24 hours a day, how the hell did he know what I did or didn’t use on a regular basis. He took offense at ‘2’ for some reason. Go figure…

Well - I was gonna suggest an animal or child (our dogs have a habit of borrowing things) - but didn't think about hubby...

No advice - if I had any, then I'd be able to train DK, and - well - ya, that's not happening... ;-)

I'm sorry to hear about your pot scraper.

And I love your little Italian rant. ;-)

Luigi I sort of forgot you'd be able to understand that. :P Maybe I should add 'present company excluded.'

I lost my pants the other day.

It was my brand-new, favourite pair of black slacks. All of a sudden they were missing from my closet, no where to be found in the dirty laundry, and completely absent from the washer and dryer. It was quite a mystery. I was certain that the last time I went out in them I'd managed to return still wearing them. Yet in my home they weren't.

After a thorough search, and an eventual decision to wear the white pants instead I gave up and continued life as usual. A few days later they just as mysteriously reappeared in my closet, hanging right where they were meant to be all along!

Now I know what you must be thinking, my closet must be really messy and difficult to find anything in. This is not the case. In fact my closet is (if it's even possible) over-organized I've divided all my shirts into about 7 seperate styles and colour coordinated everything within styles from darkest to lightest. Similarly my pants are in a completely seperate section and divided into their various styles and within styles arranged by size and fit. Those pants had a very specific place to be and they weren't there...then suddenly they were again a few days later

I'm sorry to hear about your pot scraper :(

Maybe you should make your husband buy you a new one!

Take care and have a great day, Sharon! :D
