Well, at first it's only half a year. They are pretty picky of whom they let live in their country, so I'd probably have toruble getting my visa extended (they just don't know what they're missing )

 

countrymate sounds good. Inhabitands of the United States of America: You're gaining a country-mate (if I get my visa in time and the officer at the point of entry won't make me fly back)

They are bad influence's if they use the possessive when they mean the plural.
