John Doe Posted January 27, 2010 Posted January 27, 2010 It took me a long time to figure this one out and it throws me off when I see it used incorrectly (takes me out of the story)... This link can do a better job of explaining it... In short, use whom when you can replace it with "him" or "her." Ugh there are ways to "get around" this, just read the link. It will be helpful.
