Nephylim Posted June 28, 2010 Posted June 28, 2010 (edited) I posted this in efction once but I don't write enough poetry to make 1000 words. Poetry isn't my thing but this one just... happened. It's a memory and a pain, a dream and a loss, a scream of eternal sorrow. The moon was bright The night you died The night I wached the dying of the light They would not let me come to you The swords were bright The night you died When I watched your soul take flight They would not let me come to you Your eyes were bright The night you died Before they tore you from my sight And they would not let me come to you The moon was bright The night I died The blood pooled on the ground and dried And I did so want to come to you The stars were bright The night I died Orion's belt, too great a height And still I could not come to you The moon is bright On this night Bonds break, stars fall And you come to me Wishful thinking eh? I hope you liked it. Edited June 28, 2010 by Nephylim

Toast Posted June 29, 2010 Posted June 29, 2010 I liked it the first time I read it. I am glad to revist it. Thanks for reposting it here. Sometimes saying the unsayable, is what we need.

I hope you liked it. Nephy! You have a special link with something in your soul that I have never seen before, in anyone. You are an extremely talented artist/author! I am so happy that you and GA found each other, otherwise I would not have found Nephylim. .
Nephylim Posted July 5, 2010 Author Posted July 5, 2010 WOW. That was.... I don't know... touching This poem means a lot to me and yes, it does touch something in my soul, something very... indescribable. I am also very glad that I found GA. If I hadn't, and it was sheer accident that I did, I don't think that most of my stories would have been written, let alone read by anyone. LOL A match made in heaven... or somewhere.
Agaith Posted November 1, 2010 Posted November 1, 2010 oh god why didnt i scroll through these other pages sooner! This was amazing Nephy I loved it to bits!
VickyS Posted November 6, 2010 Posted November 6, 2010 Nice work Nephy :-), so you write awesome poetry too... cool 8).... I loved the structure of this poem, and the rhyme n rhythm. And of course, the "night" and the "blood"... Loved reading it. :-)
Dark Princess Posted March 15, 2011 Posted March 15, 2011 I really liked it. it went into depths that only the soul can understand without boring me . I like the way you repeated "The night you died" and "They would not let me come to you" it shows that you really wanted to be there.
phana14 Posted April 30, 2011 Posted April 30, 2011 (edited) So I'm running around the new GA and looking for anything and everything and I find--"Ishtahar's Song". AGAIN! I wonder how many of you people here on GA actually realize that your artistic talent doesn't just reach a person one time and is lost. Thanks so much Nephylim. You greeneyed beauty! Heh!
