Ok, so I must admit I'm waiting for the sequel to the Percy Jackson series. It's coming out Oct 12. Admittedly, it's a bit out of my age group now but I read the first book before and just really loved the mythology and the humor.

 

So, in my search to look at more info on it (erm... possibly a leaked copy ), I came across Lerman's movie shorts. Apparently, he used to make short movies with Dean Collins (I think a co-actor on Jack & Bobby). I've only watched two but apparently he's gay (or insinuating it anyway) in both short movies haha. I guess that explains how he landed his role in The Perks of Being a Wallflower movie.

There is a perks of being a wall flower movie? I loved that book, where is this. Who plays Charlie? Because Charlie isn't gay, I don't think. He does kiss that one guy because he doesn't know how or what to do, but from that he doesn't follow through. The kid he does kiss is gay I believe, but thats after he breaks up with his boyfriend, or something like that. That kid from the percy jackson movie is gay? Whats going on

Don't feel bad Hamen, I watched Percy Jackson with my kids and thought it was really well done. Much better than such movies as Clash of the Titans and such this year actually that covered similar material. My kids absolutely adore the movie so I think I've redbox rented it 3 or 4 times already. I'm waiting for it to go on sale because they are begging to own it. They will be thrilled to hear there will be another Percy Jackson movie coming out.

Yes, there is an upcoming Perks movie adaptation and it's staring Logan Lerman ("that kid from percy jackson" hehe) as Charlie. I don't know if he's gay. He hasn't told me anything since the last time we met for coffee. But, in the few short films he made with Dean Collins, he is gay. I just made that comment about him landing the role cause at least now I think he won't have any trouble kissing a guy in the movie.

 

Still, I can't imagine him as Charlie.

Oh, I don't know if there will be another PJ movie (although I read that Lerman signed on for the next two PJ movies in his contract). What I meant was a new book coming out. The new series is called Heroes of Olympus and it's the sequel to the PJ books.
