I can't say I fully understood the piece. Maybe I should read the previous anthology stories again?

 

But I do get the memory haunting part.

You pressed the buttons once more. I got the creepy feeling again. Your story is hard to understand, this is true. It is hard to understand because it is an irrational story. Rational thinking doesn't work as an approach to understand the story. You rather touch our unconscious fear of facing something we have no control of. Thus you use a powerful tool. I am certain you have the talent to write a great horror thriller. This is my sincere and honest opinion.

A uniqe angle, indeed. The haunted aspect comes across well, as does a sense of foreboding.
