Ugh- the weather is cold, dreary and wet.

Anybody got a good cave to hibernate in?

Some folks just wanted a smoke, I wanted to soak up that fabulous sunshine and take a pic ( attached) Bitterly cold here in the UK - tho' that's no big deal, so Mississippi seems another world!!

Kentucky is going through I think... it's 5th winter storm already and we still have February and March to look forward to.

Yeah, they need to try Phoenix, AZ in July. That will give them something to whine about. mad.gif

As a resident of Canada, I am revoking your right to complain about the "wintry" weather. Wildone is obviously exempted.

This is what I have to live through for a few months:

Tonight: -12C (9F)

Tomorrow: -10C/-16C (13F/2F) (-25C/-13F windchill)

Saturday: -14C/-20C (6F/-4F) (-23C/-9F windchill)

Sunday: -19C/-24C (-2F/-11F)

Monday: -19C/-25C (-2F/-11F)

Tuesday: -9C/-17C (15F/0F)

Wednesday: -5C/-13C (22F/8F) (Yay, a heatwave!)

We've just had another overnight snow pass thru this area leaving another few inches. The snow has stopped, but now the wind is picking up. Saturday's high is to be 11 degrees F making the weekend bitterly cold. We're also looking at another wintery mix to us again Tuesday night into Wednesday. We've gotten into a pattern of storms coming thru on Tuesdays and Fridays.

Yea I'm right around near TalonRider last night and today and I ended up calling out of work... to many nutty drivers on the Turnpike (according to the news) and it was to freezing to go anywhere (my car had some snow in it because a window was cracked... oops :( )

But right now... I cant wait till the spring time. Give me warm weather any day.

I would take that! I love the heat. It's been in the 20s here in AR, snowed yesterday, and I'm hating it. Give me heat and sun any day. I'd love to be out lounging in the hot sun, sipping iced tea and waiting to hear the cicadas at night...

...I miss Mississippi at times...

Winter is my favorite season. I love bundling up in layers of clothes and feeling all warm and secure. What I hate is snow. And frost. And sleet. And hail. And of course cleaning snow and frost and sleet and hail off my damn car that seems to go out of it's way to attract snow and frost and sleet and hail. Still, winter is awesome. :2thumbs:

Most places winter is pretty with snow and ice sickles and unicorns.

Here in Mississippi, it rarely gets cold enough to freeze.

It's just cold, wet and muddy.

Pretty? PRETTY?! Everything is dead and covered with dirty snow. I HATE WINTER! Give me a scorching desert and I'll be happy all year round.

Deserts are HORRIBLE! They're hot and bland and everywhere you look there's either sand or rock or pathetic little things that are supposed to be some kind of vegetation. And don't even get me STARTED on the idiots that walk around, see you sweating and desperately trying to get your clothes unstuck from your body and say "Hahaha it's a DRY heat!"

You made me chuckle. But sorry, I prefer hot to cold.

I didn't think that Flagstaff was not so bad....but I was on the north side of the canyon.
