I appears to be scanned from a paper source and has become a mini-meme called the "bawww-bunny".

 

It is used in threads on forums where someone is.... bawww-ing.

It came from the pits of /b/. It's probably nearly impossible to find its original source, but you could always strap on your brain condom, wade over there, and ask.

lol, I think I started at a /b/ archive site, which lead me to a knowyourmeme thread, which lead me there. If a meme gets used enough, 4chan will document it somewhere. They're archivists like that.
