Weirdest Place

I was on the bus, and someone's puppy rolled over onto my foot. It inspired Meetings on a Bus. Sauna Summer predictably turned up in my head while in a sauna, but it was weird how complete the characters were already. I also had a super weird dream once that inspired a weird sci-fi story I never finished; I was in a huge steampunky glass cathedral out on a tundra and these mammoths came and shattered everything. That's probably the weirdest one.

Oh, and Brighton Rock actually started on the tram in Gothenburg, of all places. And the beginning of Soft came from a very drunk night out in Stockholm.

[Superpride]

I know that is going to sound very weird, but I got a recent story idea by watching an episode of SpongeBob SquarePants haha.  This particular episode was about SpongeBob playing with bubblegum wrapper that Squidward threw away and finding many entertaining uses for it.  One part when SpongeBob started using the wrapper as a clarinet gave me the idea of a magical or highly advanced object that can be used for multiple purposes.  I then thought a wand would be the perfect object to use since it can be used for many other things from a musical instrument to an instrument of war, and I am using this idea for one of my current stories which I will not spoil.  I can also think of other very weird instances of when I got story ideas to just elements I could add to a story like a character.  I guess that is one of the perks from being a writer.  😋
