dkstories Posted December 14, 2005 Posted December 14, 2005 Yup... Good chapter too. A little depressing, but that was to be expected. Myr That was one of the reasons this chapter took so long to get done...I had about three different versions I started and wrote until I got to the confrontation. Part of me screamed "You can't do this to Davey!" but it has always been part of my plan for this story. As my editor pointed out, this whole chapter takes place over the course of ONE hour in story time. Yes, I'm still typing out 28, but it's about a 1/3 of the way done so far and begins with a little more action.

Of all things that could happen, what shocked me most was the bitterness and vindictiveness of Davey's mom. Jeeezz.... it's mind boggling, could a mom really do that to her son. especially soemone who always love her. As for brian, PLEASE3x make them together again. Brian is kind af**ked up in the head. But I really hope he and Davey went back together. I always regard Do Over as essentially a love story between Davey and Brian against the background of high-level politics. shadows Posted December 14, 2005 Posted December 14, 2005 Au contrair (or however you say it in french). Davey's life can only get better from here. Things have reached a resolution, rather than the empty feeling of not knowing where he stands or how others view him, he now has solid ground on which to make his decisions. I would much rather know I'm disliked than be unsure and have that undercurrent of enmity. Anyway, Davey and Brian look like they could at least get along from here. I am looking forward to what's coming next. Though I don't think it's the "action" that Trebs seems to think it is. Probably more like Davey taking out a team of ninjas //shadows

brax Posted December 20, 2005 Posted December 20, 2005 Weeee! My 3rd time reading Do Over Redux and got the same responses as the very frist time... I LOVED IT! Funny thing is i got through reading it and then ralized.... IT HAS A NEW CHAPTER!!!! Which kind of made me depressed because i didnt know it was new until after i finished reading it.... blah... Anyways, this chapter was great, as well as the entire story... I hope Davey and Brian get back together... it'd be really sad otherwise... I'll be checking up regluarly (as always) for new chapters!
