Site Administrator Popular Post Myr Posted October 2, 2017 Site Administrator Popular Post Posted October 2, 2017 I've added a Stories section to the club called "Testing Ground" https://www.gayauthors.org/stories/browse/category/118-testing-ground/ This will be a place you can make test posts with the story system that won't (or shouldn't) show up to anyone outside of this Club. We've not tested extensively yet, so don't post anything in there you don't want other's to see. We know the story posting system can be a bit intimidating to new users. So you can test in here to figure out what works. We can also help define "Best Techniques" for posting and where necessary make software updates. 11
FormerMember4 Posted October 2, 2017 Posted October 2, 2017 This is a great feature. Especially for authors learning formatting on different software. 3
Brayon Posted October 3, 2017 Posted October 3, 2017 I posted a Test piece, and then logged out. Logged Out: Did not see it, at all. Logged In: I see it, both here in the club, and on the Stories page. On stories, it shows it's linked under the club, so unsure if non-clubers can see it. 1
William King Posted October 7, 2017 Posted October 7, 2017 Is this intended for posting writing to get feedback on a work in progress, something you are thinking of continuing, or the first chapter of a new novel yet to be published? 3

You can certainly use it as a private preview to fellow authors/poets/editors. Also a good way to work out formatting issues... 3
MrM Posted October 7, 2017 Posted October 7, 2017 Ah, I like this better than posting something and then not publishing immediately just so I can make sure my HTML has rendered. Sometimes, when I don't publish as soon as I post the new story update ticker on the side won't show what I've added. I have to Unpublish and then Publish it again to 'kick' it into the ticker. I require visibilty because I'm an attention whore! 1 1
