Yes, I honestly should have responded privately first. They might not have sent the more public response. But as with everything that is in text format, perceptions differ. Mine is "I need to do the work that I'm getting paid for in the limited time allotted to myself and my one remaining colleague." 3 Quote

Yeah, communicating in writing can be tricky because the same thing read in different times can have significantly different meanings. And work emails tend to be more formal, which can make the intended tone be even less clear. 3 Quote
