It was a milestone bday, an even 40, and I didn't plan ahead enough to bake or buy a cake. 1 6 1 Quote

I am happy. 😂 Also, if anyone's waiting for a response from me for anything, I'm still trying to catch up. 1 5 2 Quote

Yesterday I got the inking of the vamp down (though I'm not sure of his nose...I tried to use part of my nose as reference and I remembered that mine was downturned and looked different at the same angle than the "average" nose [I mean, how can anyone forget the shape of their own nose? I can, apparently], but we'll see how it looks like with colors and go from there). I also have most of the background down (though it still looks a tad off because, again, I'm lazy and take too much creative license with perspective🤔). Like I said before, though, I'll show you when I have the solid base colors down. 2 2 Quote
Popular Post Thirdly Posted March 27, 2025 Author Popular Post Posted March 27, 2025 3/27/2024 Status Update: In physical news, I have an appointment next month to see my new doctor and begin the process of a surgery I was trying my best not to have to do. Nature has given me no choice. That, and genetically, I was always kind of screwed in the regard of that particular organ...my own mother and two older sisters all needed the same surgery. In mental news, I think I have also started the process of being properly diagnosed. I've always questioned whether I was neurotypical or neurodivergent. Hopefully that will be figured out at some point. To be honest, neither option will please me. But it would be nice to know. In writing news, I am going to finish converting a very old story to a specific point of view so that I can then complete it. I've already committed to it. There's no turning back. 4 2 Quote
Popular Post Thirdly Posted April 4, 2025 Author Popular Post Posted April 4, 2025 (edited) 4/4/2025 Status Update: All week long, I've been making do with being the only functional department member overseeing 92 youth internships and all of the paperwork and scheduling that entails. I know it's rough everywhere and so many places are woefully understaffed, not just us. But if it wasn't for one pending youth and their amazing career coach that are expecting me in three hours at a worksite, I would walk out right now and take PTO for the rest of the day. They are the one case that caused no delays and compromised every step of the way. The one case that gave no complaints or pressure, that waited patiently for their turn. They deserve an unbroken Thirdly with a big smile on her face explaining the details of the internship bringing nearly completed paperwork to make the signing aspect as painless as possible. I have 3 hours to superglue the currently broken pieces of Thirdly back together hoping to the cosmos that my eyes are not bloodshot from crying because I have no eydrops and they'll think I smoked weed or something instead. BendtedWreath Posted April 4, 2025 Posted April 4, 2025 We're understaffed, too. I've been distracting myself with other things to cope. 4 1 Quote
Popular Post Thirdly Posted April 5, 2025 Author Popular Post Posted April 5, 2025 Well, I did my job, and the intern was hired. Met with two amazing women bringing light and kindness into their community. I never heard of someone actually admitting they sought a PhD just because they "didn't want others to tell them what to do." The egos of the doctors and professors I used to work with are starting to make sense. The way they manage to disarm a group of people on the fly with sheer charisma was impressive. It was worth going. But enough talk of that. I don't work on weekends and do my best to forget work even exists until Monday. 6 Quote

For the last couple of days, it nearly won. I've never felt so dizzy and depleted, not even whenever I donated blood, though I did black out that one time. Why is my doctor's appointment so far away? I need to at least begin to resolve this. 9 Quote

Popular Post Thirdly Posted April 30, 2025 Author Popular Post Posted April 30, 2025 4/30/2025 Update: So, in trying to resolve my genetic woes from one side of the family, the genes from the other side of the family began crying bloody murder. I see the doctor again on Monday, but I'm still very much in pain. Have been in nigh constant pain since 4/15. I don't take pain meds because a 15-minute break feels meaningless to me. 6 Quote

I'm sorry to hear that you're having so much trouble and are in pain, but I'm surprised that you indicated the pain meds only last for 15 minutes. Can't the doctor prescribe a higher dosage so it will last longer? 1 3 Quote

Can't the doctor prescribe a higher dosage so it will last longer? That's what I'll find out on Monday. While the pain is constant and annoying, it's not at the "nearly giving birth contraction" pain I felt 4 months ago. So, unless I pass out, can't walk around anymore, or suddenly drop dead, I'll drag my ass to the doctor's on Monday at the allotted time I was given. They'll run more tests, realize nothing has improved, and will hopefully figure something out. I hate opioids and stronger pain meds, as they either knock me out or have me dizzy for hours. Some are even addictive. If I can no longer walk or remain upright, I'll be in the ER. At this point, I'm very much feeling an "I don't care how invasive it is, shove a camera in and have a look around my organs already" state right now. Edited May 1, 2025 by Thirdly 6 Quote
Popular Post Thirdly Posted May 12, 2025 Author Popular Post Posted May 12, 2025 5/12/2025 Update: So, I think my primary doctor strategically sent me to a cancer specialist to expedite my testing. 🤣I'm not complaining because this Saturday I'm getting a CT scan, and they can finally see which of my organs (if not multiple) are crying bloody murder! 🎉 1 8 Quote
